Having taken so many groups to Spain for long duration holidays over the last decade this year we are delighted to also add Portugal to our programme.

The Algarve lies on the southern coast and is hugely popular with the British traveller. With over 3000 hours of sunshine per year, low annual rainfall and delightful sandy beaches with golden cliffs as the backdrop, it's not hard to see why! The area has a selection of quality resorts for the visitor providing all you need for a lovely holiday - sandy beaches, restaurants, bars, cafes and nightlife. But the area also has so much more, with an amazing history to discover.

We are based 5 kms east of the popular resort and old town of Albufeira, on the road to Olhos de Água and Vilamoura in the 4* Alto da Colina Aparthotel. The hotel is part of a complex of hotels over 34 acres with an outstanding range of facilities for the visitor. Newly constructed, this hotel of 132 apartments is located close to Santa Eulalia Beach and Balaia Golf Course on an elevated position with fabulous views. The hotel is close to the lively shopping streets of Areias de São João and Montechoro with its countless bars and restaurants. Facilities on the complex include a number of outdoor and indoors swimming pools, restaurants, bars, a supermarket and sports facilities including tennis courts and games room. The reception area is open 24 hours a day to help you with any problems or to book services including taxis.

The accommodation is an excellent standard. Bright apartments, comfortably furnished and with large well exposed balconies. All apartments are composed of a spacious living room with fully equipped kitchen (fridge, electric rings, microwave, coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster), Spacious lounge with satellite TV (remote control deposit), air conditioning, telephone, sofa, bedroom with twin beds, safety deposit box, bathrooms and hair dryer. We are offering a choice of accommodation and meal options for you.

We have regular comfort stops during the journey and a main stop for lunch.


DAY 1:
After being collected from your local collection point around 6.00am we travel to Folkestone for our Eurotunnel crossing. We shall arrive at our good quality overnight near Le Mans, (Bed & Breakfast) at approximately 7.30pm. During our journey to and from Portugal you may choose to eat your main meal at lunchtime in one of the service station on route.

DAY 2:
Leaving the hotel after breakfast we head south through south-west France and travel over the border in to Spain. Our overnight hotel tonight is near the town of Burgos. Arriving mid evening.

DAY 3:
After breakfast we continue on in to Portugal - arriving down on the Algarve mid-evening.

DAYS 4 to 14 :
Plenty of time for you to relax and enjoy your time in Portugal. There is so much to do around the resort or stroll down to the lovely beach. There is a shuttle bus service from the hotel in to Albufeira or you can choose to go further afield on the local bus if you wish. Our driver/courier will stay with you whilst in the resort and will arrange some extra excursions - details will be available on site.

DAY 15:
Sadly we must depart the Algarve and head home. We follow our outward route and arrive at the same hotel near Burgos in Spain early evening. Bed & Breakfast basis.

DAY 16:
Continuing up through Spain with views of the Pyrenees before heading in to France and returning to our hotel at Le Mans - arriving mid evening. Bed & Breakfast basis.

DAY 17:
We head back to Calais for the late afternoon Eurotunnel crossing. Returning back to the local area around 9.00pm.
