One of the best National Trust destinations in the South of England. The celebrated 18th Century landscaped gardens of Stourhead are world famous; your first sight of the lake will leave you amazed. Famous for its iconic landscape design, the gardens burst into life with fresh green foliage, vibrant rhododendrons and azaleas, and carpets of wildflowers along the lakeside paths. Reflections of classical temples shimmer across the water, creating picture-perfect views at every turn. Enjoy gentle strolls on well maintained paths and the peaceful atmosphere of this world-class garden as it awakens after winter. The stunning Palladian Mansion, once the family home of the Hoares, is full of Georgian treasures, Chippendale furniture and fine paintings. This really is an amazing destination and is well worth a visit.
