Widely regarding as one of the best destinations in the country – York really comes alive at Christmas.
Few cities rival the historic splendour of York and it is no wonder that it is one of our top selling destinations. Steeped in history spanning 2000 years, York is a compact walled riverside city home to world-class attractions. We stay within the medieval city walls allowing you time to explore the historic centre and its many attractions and cobbled streets. The city’s medieval centre adds an authenticity to the Dickensian vision of Christmas celebrations so come along and soak up the atmosphere. Meander through the market stalls of St Nicolas Fair with traditional chalets adorned with twinkling lights and selling all kinds of artisan gifts for the festive season. York is foody heaven, so follow the aromas of mulled wine and delicious tempting treats with a huge variety on offer. Full details of all the events will come out online later in the year.
