Join us for this lovely local experience. Dropping close to Poole Quay, it is only a short walk around the corner to the Dorset Queen where we board the boat for the cruise to Wareham. Heading out in to Poole Harbour and surrounded by stunning views and wildlife, we are reminded how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful area!
Sit back and relax on board the Dorset Queen - the only vintage motor yacht on the South Coast of England and a proud member of the UK Historic Ships’ Register. There will be live commentary as we cross the harbour and travel up the tranquil River Frome to the historic town of Wareham. Dorset Queen will depart Poole Quay before turning west to cruise along the tranquil River Frome up to the historic market town of Wareham.
Once ashore we have over an hour to enjoy a drink or snack in one of the many pubs and restaurants, go for a stroll, or visit the effigy of Lawrence of Arabia in St Martin’s Church… The only Saxon church in Dorset.
After this shore-side break we re-board the Dorset Queen and we will slowly meander back down the Frome to the hustle and bustle of Poole Quay. Returning to Poole for some free time before heading back to your pick up point.
Facilities on board the boat include Upper deck | Forward deck with retractable canopy | Fully heated lower saloon with booth seating | Main bar in the saloon, stocked with over 25 artisan gins, rums & vodkas, lager, spirits, wines, Champagne, Dorset Tea and a coffee machine | Ladies & Gentlemans’ Washrooms.
Price includes cruise.
IMPORTANT - There is a gangway on to the boat at Poole Quay and some steps on the boat with 7 steps on to the Upper Deck. At Wareham there are 2 steps up on to the quayside. May not be suitable for all.
Dropping off point & Arrival Time – 9.30am approx - Poole Quay - Boat leaves at 10.00am
Arrival at Wareham - 11.30am | Depart - 12.30am
Arrive Poole - 2.00pm | Depart Poole - 3.00pm
Return to the local area – 3.00pm/4.00pm approx
