DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 6.00/7.15am we travel to Kent with comfort stops as required. The channel crossing will be either by Eurotunnel or Ferry - details available nearer departure. Continuing through northern France - sit back and relax in comfort as we travel through the Champagne region in to Lorraine, arriving at Metz mid evening. Excellent overnight hotel here with a 3 course evening meal included - set menu.
Mercure Metz Centre Hotel – Excellent quality hotel from a quality brand - ideally located in the heart of Metz. This modern hotel offers stylish rooms equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Each bedroom features air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and a minibar. Enjoy a restful night in plush bedding, and freshen up in en-suite bathrooms complete with complimentary toiletries. Separate shower subject to availability. Lift to all floors.
DAY 2
We leave the hotel after breakfast and head for the Alps. Absolutely stunning countryside on the route as we head up in to the Alps - sit back, relax and enjoy the view! Comfort stops during the day including a main stop for lunch, so you will have the chance to take some photos. Arriving in our host town of Zell am See in the evening. Settle in to your comfortable accommodation before a delicious Austrian dinner tonight. Starters and desserts are set for the duration of our stay - this evening there is a choice of 2 mains - for the remaining days there is a choice of 3 mains - choice made at breakfast for that night - 3 courses.

DAY 3
Start your day with a hearty Austrian breakfast at the hotel - hot & cold buffet on offer. The lakeside is only a 2 minute walk from the hotel so head down for a morning stroll and soak in this wonderful view. You may want to take the Schmittenhöhe cable car up for breathtaking alpine views and then perhaps return to town for lunch at a traditional Gasthof, savoring local specialties like schnitzel. Spend the afternoon exploring the charming streets, visiting St. Hippolyte’s Church, or relaxing at a lakeside beach. Or you may like to take a boat cruise on Lake Zell, the pleasure boats depart from the Esplanade in the centre of town.
DAY 4
Memorable day out today as we board the coach for an excursion to Salzburg which is around 1 1/2 hours away. Regarded by many as one of the prettiest cities in the Alps, we will meet up with our guide to explore city. Overlooked by the iconic Hohensalzburg Fortress, we stroll through the charming Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and most famously the birthplace of Mozart. Attractions include the Mirabell Palace and Gardens, a Baroque masterpiece. Enjoy a traditional Austrian lunch at a cozy café and soak up the atmosphere around the streets. And don't miss out on a taste of one of Salzburg’s famous pastries. A wonderful destination for a day.
DAY 5
Amazing scenery today with an unforgettable journey from Zell am See to the majestic Grossglockner High Alpine Road, one of Europe’s most spectacular mountain passes. As we ascend through the Hohe Tauern National Park, marvel at breathtaking vistas of snow-capped peaks, lush meadows, and dramatic glacial landscapes. Taking some stops for photos so your can capture the awe-inspiring beauty of Austria’s highest mountain, the Grossglockner and look out for alpine wildlife like marmots and ibex. Stopping at the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe visitor center for panoramic views of the Pasterze Glacier. Another wonderful day in Austria!
DAY 6
A day to relax, enjoy the comfort of the hotel and the stunning scenery around the lake.
DAY 7
Sadly we leave Zell Am See and the mountains and head back to our overnight hotel. Sit back, relax and take in the wonderful scenery on route - again we will be having an extended break for lunch and a stop before returning to Metz for our overnight hotel stop. 3 course evening meal included - set menu.

DAY 8
After breakfast we continue home, boarding the late afternoon Eurotunnel or ferry crossing. Comfort stops during the day - arriving back to the local area around 7.30/8.30pm.
