Sit back, relax, and let us take you on a journey through this enchanting corner of the Wild Atlantic Way.

Your adventure includes a scenic drive through charming villages and rolling countryside, leading you to the heart of Connemara. Marvel at the majestic Twelve Bens mountain range, reflected in the glassy waters of Lough Inagh. Visit Kylemore Abbey, a stunning neo-Gothic castle nestled beside a tranquil lake, and wander through its Victorian walled garden. We will be joined by an expert guide to share fascinating stories about Connemara’s history, culture, and folklore, bringing the landscape to life. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet friendly locals, hear the melodic sounds of the Irish language, and perhaps even catch a glimpse of Connemara ponies grazing in the fields.

We are based in the vibrant town of Clifden, known as the "Capital of Connemara," where you can soak up local culture, shop for handmade crafts and enjoy a traditional Irish hospitality.

DAY 1                   
After being collected from your local pick up point around 5.00am/6.30am, sit back, relax and enjoy the journey to Pembroke in West Wales - comfort stops on route as required before boarding the 2.45pm Irish Ferries crossing to Rosslare. The ship arrives at 6.45pm and we continue with a short journey to the 4* Brandon House Hotel in New Ross.
Excellent quality 4* hotel with modern elegance and warm Irish hospitality. Enjoy the comfortable spacious bedrooms with plush bedding, and views of the surrounding countryside or River Barrow. Dinner tonight will be 3 courses with a minimum of 3 choices per course.

DAY 2                  
After a full Irish breakfast we depart the hotel and continue with the journey to the West Coast of Ireland. Enjoying some lovely countryside on route with comfort stops including an extended stop at lunchtime. Arriving in the town of Clifden late afternoon at our main hotel for this holiday - the 3* Clifden Station House Hotel. Time to settle in to your room before dinner. 3 course dinners during our stay with a minimum choice of 3 choices per course plus tea/coffee. The hotel also regularly has entertainment in the evening.

DAY 3                  
Enjoy a leisurely Irish breakfast at the hotel before we head off for todays excursion. There is no avoiding the stunning Connemara countryside, so sit back and enjoy the journey today. We first head to the enchanting Kylemore Abbey, a breathtaking historic gem nestled by the side of the Lough. This iconic 19th-century castle-turned-abbey is surrounded by lush woodlands, serene lakes, and the majestic Twelve Bens mountain range, offering a perfect escape into nature and history. Explore the stunning Gothic church, the elegant Victorian Walled Garden, and the abbey’s fascinating exhibits that tell the story of its rich past. Whether you're strolling through the tranquil gardens, admiring the abbey's reflection in the lake, or learning about the Benedictine nuns who called it home, Kylemore Abbey is a place of peace and inspiration. We have included entrance to the Abbey & Gardens.

Following on, we continue in to County Mayo arriving in the pretty town of Westport with time to stroll through its colorful streets, lined with boutique shops and cozy cafes.

DAY 4
A day at leisure today and a chance to relax and enjoy the town. Stroll through Clifden's colorful streets, lined with quaint shops, cozy cafes, and traditional pubs where live music fills the air. If you have the energy, there is some lovely walks out from the town to enjoy the scenery.

DAY 5
Wonderful scenic excursion today and something a little bit different as we head for Glen Keen Farm for a sheep herding demonstration. Enjoy an introduction to the friendly border collies and learn about their training programme, diet, herding commands, and life at Glen Keen - one of the largest farms . Watch the dogs herd the sheep on verbal and whistle instructions given by the shepherd. Learn all about the Mountain Blackface sheep and the history of their introduction to this area. Step back in time while you enjoy the farm’s beautiful landscape, which is a true living museum of Ireland’s history. 

Later we continue to Killary where we join our boat for a cruise along the stunning Killary Fjord. Experience the awe-inspiring beauty of the rugged North Connemara landscape onboard the Connemara Lady, with our 90-minute sightseeing tour. Complete with an informative commentary outlining the natural and social history of the Fjord as well as the ancient mythology surrounding these waters and uninterrupted views of the “savage beauty” of North Connemara’s spectacular scenery, our tour will take you to the mouth of the Fjord, the gateway to the majestic Atlantic coast beyond, and offer unrivalled views of otherwise impossible to reach sections of the Wild Atlantic Way coastline.

DAY 6                   
After breakfast we leave the hotel and begin the journey home. Making a stop at Connemara Celtic Crystal for a short guided tour. Learn about the history, meet the talented master craftsmen and watch them hand-cutting exquisite Celtic designs, such as the Claddagh, Shamrock and Celtic Knotwork, free-hand from memory on clear and colourful cased crystal. Continuing the journey with comfort stops as required before we arrive back again at the Brandon House Hotel. 3 course dinners during our stay with a minimum choice of 3 choices per course plus tea/coffee. Early to bed with an early start tomorrow!

DAY 7               
Leaving the hotel before breakfast we make the journey to Rosslare - it is around 50 minutes away - for the 8.15am Stena Line ship. When on board head for the restaurant for breakfast - a voucher will be included for you. The ship arrives in Fishguard at 11.45am. Comfort stops as required on our journey home - arriving back to the local area around 7.00pm.
