There is stunning scenery along the coast road and historic towns are dotted throughout the region. The traditional harbour and stylish Princess Pier marina area offer the town a continental atmosphere, with a growing selection of eateries to sample. We are delighted to be returning to the 3* Headland Hotel which will be fully decorated and have a party atmosphere with nightly entertainment and festive cuisine. Join the fun!!

DAY 1
Collected from your convenient local pick up point around 8.30/9.45am with a comfort stop and a stop with time for lunch before arriving at the hotel mid afternoon for our Christmas Eve! Starting first with a very welcome tea or coffee and mince pie! Later, head for the Gallery Lounge for a complimentary mulled wine from 5.30pm after which dinner will be served in the Romanoff restaurant.
DAY 2 - Christmas Day
Enjoy a full English Breakfast - other choices available - and hopefully Santa will have left a little gift on the table for you! Mid-morning, we depart for a mystery excursion out to a local destination, organised by your driver to make the most of the weather conditions. Returning to the hotel mid-afternoon with time to relax. Why not enjoy a coastal walk from the hotel before the evening festivities with traditional Christmas dinner followed by entertainment in the Gallery Lounge.
DAY 3 - Boxing Day
A day at leisure around the hotel and Torquay today. We will drop you down in to Torquay centre if you wish and return later. Subject to availability there may be the chance of visiting the nearby Babbacombe Theatre this evening for a festive show. Please check at hotel reception.
DAY 4 - New Years Eve
Today, after breakfast, your driver will arrange for a mystery excursion out to a local destination. Returning to the hotel with free time before heading to the Gallery Lounge at 4.30pm for tea, coffee and festive treats followed by a quiz. Dinner in the evening is followed by entertainment and then it is time to 'see in the New Year' with a glass of sparkling cassis from 9.00pm in the Gallery Lounge. Get your dancing shoes and enjoy an evening with entertainment and Auld Lang Syne at 10.30pm!
DAY 5
We head home with a stop for lunch before arriving back to your local drop off point around 3.00/4.00pm.

We have been taking groups to this hotel for many, many years and have always found the quality of decor, accommodation and food to be of a very good standard - it has become a firm favourite with Highcliffe Coach Holiday customers. And the standard and facilities keep improving with additions in recent years including a spa complex and wonderful outside decking area. All the public areas around the hotel are tastefully decorated with a complimentary chic modern style.
Professionally managed and with a great staff, the hotel has been awarded a Travellers' Choice 2024 Award - meaning they consistently earn great reviews from travellers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor for enjoyment and value for money.
Boasting splendid sea views from many of the bedrooms and some of the public areas, the hotel stands in two acres of grounds overlooking Meadfoot Bay – you can follow the footpath down to the bay or into Torquay. It’s quite steep in sections though!
Relax with a coffee in the elegant reception foyer area or head to the Gallery Lounge and Terrace - perfect place to enjoy the view, grab a drink, snack, or light lunch. If the sun is shining, why not sit out on the sea view terrace and enjoy the picturesque setting. Evening entertainment is on every night at the hotel, except Wednesday!
All bedrooms are well appointed and have en-suite bathroom – some with shower over bath, some shower only – please confirm when booking if required - TV, WiFi, Tea/coffee making and hairdryer.
Enjoy dining in the superb Romanoff Restaurant which offers a full hot & continental breakfast – self serve. In the evening, choose from a classic menu – 3 courses with a choice of menu served at the table. Set dining time for group. Passenger lift to most rooms – some corridors have a couple of split level steps. Porterage included.
