Discover the breathtaking beauty of Stourhead House and Gardens this early spring, a National Trust gem that comes alive as the season unfolds. Known as one of England’s finest landscaped gardens, Stourhead offers a magical blend of nature and history.

In spring, Stourhead’s famous gardens begin to bloom with early seasonal flowers. Who knows when Spring will spring! But Stourhead is renowned for paths lined with vibrant daffodils, crocuses, and delicate magnolia trees, all set against the serene backdrop of its iconic lake. The reflections of classical temples, bridges, and grottoes in the water create postcard-perfect views around every corner.

Step inside Stourhead House, a Palladian masterpiece, to explore its grand interiors. Discover stunning art, period furniture, and the fascinating stories of the Hoare family who shaped the estate. Knowledgeable volunteers bring the house’s history to life, offering insights into its design and heritage.

Take a moment to relax in the café with a cup of tea and homemade cake, or browse the shop for unique gifts and plants to take home. A visit to Stourhead in spring is a feast for the senses. Lovely day out!

Arrival time – 11.30am approx.
Departure time - 4.00pm approx. (TBC by driver on day)
Return to the local area – 5.30 to 6.30pm approx.
