Lying on the River Taw, Barnstaple is the largest town in North Devon with a history extending back to King Aethelstan. Once a major port, Barnstaple is a thriving market town with a partly pedestrianised centre, historic buildings, charming streets and alleys and a traditional Pannier Market. The dramatic, rugged coastline of the North Devon Coast, where the cliffs seem to dive in to the sea is quite stunning and on a clear day you can see over to South Wales. The stunning Exmoor National Park with its spectacular scenery is also close by with a host of other terrific excursion destinations to explore in the region.

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point home around 8.30/10.00am, we travel to Barnstaple with comforts stops as required including a main stop for lunch before arriving mid/late afternoon with time to settle in to your room and relax before enjoying tonight's quality dinner.

DAY 2
We head to Arlington Court, a delightful house set in extensive parkland with lovely gardens including peacocks! Time here to enjoy your surroundings including the excellent carriage museum - one of the largest collections in the country, see the inside of the house and enjoy the grounds. Excellent NT café too. NT Member discount -£10. Afterwards we head to historic Lynmouth. 

DAY 3
A day at leisure today. Relax and enjoy the cosy atmosphere of the hotel and take advantage of the central location to explore the town on foot. Plenty for those interested in history to discover plus shops and cafes.

DAY 4
A lovely excursion today as we visit RHS Rosemoor. One of the showcase gardens of the RHS, Rosemoor spans over 65 acres, set in the beautiful Torridge Valley. There is something for everyone to enjoy with a wide range of different sections including Lady Anne's original garden, the Arboretum, the cottage garden, Woodland Walks and much more including a large gift shop and excellent café. Includes entrance. 

DAY 5                   
Sadly, after breakfast we have to leave the hotel and head home with a lunch stop on route. Arriving back in the local area around 2.00/3.00pm.
