One of the most perfectly preserved medieval cities in Europe, Bruges has been one of our most popular continental destinations for many years. Famous for its lace shops, magnificent churches and, of course, chocolate. A holiday in Bruges is like taking a trip back in time as you wander through cobbled streets surrounded by historic buildings as horse drawn carriages go by. A trip on one of the canal boats gives you a unique view of ‘the Venice of the north’.

One of the best city break destinations in Northern Europe and at Christmas time - extra special! Come and experience the authentic European Christmas markets in the centre of the city. The whole city turns into a fairytale, filled with Christmas trees and fairy lights and scents of Belgian waffles and hot chocolate.

The main market is in Grote Markt, with pretty, wooden chalets surrounding a huge ice rink in the shadow of the 83m-high belfry. Heads for the top for stunning views of the chocolate-box city below.

Lovely trip to spark that festive feeling!! Bring some friends!!

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point between 6.30 to 8.00am approximately, we travel to Folkestone for the Eurotunnel crossing to Calais with comfort stop on route. From Calais, Bruges is only 1 ½ hours away. Settle in to the hotel before heading out for dinner. Being located in the centre, the choice of restaurant is huge and easily accessible!

DAYS 2 & 3
Enjoy an extensive and excellent breakfast at the hotel to set yourself up for each day. Your time in Bruges is completely at leisure. The hotel is close to where the water boats depart for tours of the city or you can choose a mini coach, guided walk or even a horse drawn carriage ride around the compact city centre. Bruges is a dream to explore. Around every corner there is beautiful architecture - the main attractions include the main Markt square with the iconic Belfry, Burg Square with the Basilica of the Holy Blood, the Groeninge Art Museum and so much more. One of the real pleasures is to sit in one of the many pavement cafes and bars, watch the world go by and soak up the atmosphere.

DAY 4
We leave Bruges and head back to Calais - boarding the early afternoon Eurotunnel crossing. Arriving home around 5.00pm to your local drop off point.
