Sometimes you overlook things right on your doorstep! Tourists come from all over the country to visit the Isle of Wight - it has a unique blend of coastline from stunning cliffs to beautiful beaches, whilst inland the countryside is a patchwork of farmland, woodland and heathland dotted with timeless villages. There is a diverse range of resorts for the visitor to explore and enjoy. For this special break we are staying in the largest, Sandown. Sandown is a traditional British Seaside Resort with a wide sandy beach, long level promenade and pier. 

For this great value holiday we are returning to the recently refurbished Burlington Hotel which includes evening entertainment. Please note that this hotel may not include all the bells & whistles some may require - but it is clean, tidy and comfortable with friendly staff and absolutely ridiculous value. Fun seekers only, please!!

DAY 1
Leaving your local pick-up point around 9.30/10.45 in the morning, we head to Lymington and board the ferry to Yarmouth. After disembarking we will arrive in Newport, the Island's Capital for a lunch break - plenty of places to choose from. Continuing to arrive at the hotel in Sandown with good time to relax and settle in before dinner.

There will be entertainment every night of your stay at the hotel - details available nearer to departure but may include live music, a singer, festive quiz or bingo.

DAY 2
Enjoy a full self serve buffet breakfast in the restaurant before meeting the coach for todays excursion. We first head to the excellent Busy Bee Garden Centre near Ryde. This award winning centre has become a favourite stopping point on our holidays to the Island and has a particularly good restaurant. This time of year, enjoy the spectacular Christmas decorations on display - sure to find something special for Christmas in the gift shop. Afterwards, we head on to Ryde, the largest town on the Island. With long, spacious stretches of sandy beach, a thriving independent shopping scene and plenty of choice for a drink.

DAY 3
Another excursion out today - nice to be busy! In the morning we will head off for a scenic tour of the Island. Seeing as much as we can ; there are some wonderful views to enjoy along the way. Hopefully, the weather will be kind and we can have some stops along the way. There will be an extended stop for lunch during the day. So much to see around the island - lovely day out. Returning to the hotel for the final night of festive cuisine and entertainment.

DAY 4
We leave the hotel after breakfast and enjoy a scenic route back to Yarmouth where we join the ferry back to Lymington. Arriving back in the local area early afternoon.

Burlington Hotel

Looking forward to returning again to the recently refurbished Burlington Hotel which has 70 ensuite rooms. The hotel sits in prime location in Sandown, just a 2 minute walk to the seafront so you can make the most of your free time to explore the town and beach before returning to the comfort of the hotel.
With a new, clean, modern decor throughout and friendly and helpful staff. All meals are served in the stylish dining room. In the morning, breakfast is a self serve buffet with hot and cold options available. In the evening there will be a choice of menu with table service. 

After dinner, head for the Lounge Bar to relax, unwind and have some fun with Live Entertainment during your stay. 

The refurbished rooms offer free WiFi, en-suite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries and large fluffy towels, TV and tea & coffee facilities.

The hotel does not have a lift. Please ensure you ask for a ground floor room if required.
