Beautifully situated on the banks of The Thames near to Richmond,  Ham House is a wonderful stately 17th century home with a fascinating history surrounding the English Civil War. The house is excellent, with collections of textiles, furniture and paintings dating back over 400 years plus discover how life was for the servants above and below stairs. Outside the splendid formal gardens and huge kitchen gardens have been restored to some of their former glory. Lovely day out. Price includes entrance.
