Superb holiday staying in the very heart of Cornish life in Looe and with excursions discovering the beautiful countryside, towns and people of the region. The historic fishing Port of Looe on Cornwall’s south coast is amazing - you can ‘feel’ the history of the town centred around the bustling harbour where you can watch the catch being ‘brought-in’ by the fishing boats.

It’s a great place to explore - stroll through the labyrinth of narrow streets lined with cafes, antique shops and pick up a tasty pasty in one of the bakers to enjoy on the sandy beach. A wonderful destination with a great hotel for a lovely holiday.

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 8.15/9.30am we have a brief comfort stop and a main stop for lunch before arriving at the hotel around 3.30pm. Settle in to the hotel and enjoy the views with a delicious and very welcome Cream Tea included in the price. During our stay there will be some evening entertainment.

DAY 2
Excursion to the magnificent National Trust country estate – Lanhydrock. Set in 1000 acres of parkland, there are 50 rooms to explore, from servants’ quarters and kitchens to the Long Gallery with its rare book collection and the spacious dining room. The beautiful gardens are a particular highlight with magnolias, rhododendrons and camellias at their best in Spring and early summer. Follow one of the many paths leading through the extensive woodland and take in the sweeping views over the valley. Lovely NT café for lunch. Entrance fee included. £14 NT Member discount.

DAY 3
Totally free day today so enjoy a leisurly breakfast overlooking the town. You make like to step on a local bus to one of the villages nearby, maybe board the Looe Valley Line to Liskeard, head along the South West Coast Path or just relax around town. Lovely, lovely!

DAY 4
Great day out today – starting with a visit to Mevagissey. Narrow streets lead down to the towns distinctive twin harbour - a safe haven for the many fishing boats. Stroll through the traditional streets and pick up a postcard of gift in one of the shops or galleries. Plenty of places to grab a coffee. After we visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan. This remarkable garden has a wide range of areas from the more formal walled Victorian Gardens down the valley to the exotic outdoor Jungle with raised boardwalks past giant rhubarb, banana plantations and through tunnels of towering bamboo. Price includes entrance.

DAY 5

We leave the hotel after breakfast and have a stop for lunch before arriving back to your local drop off point around 3.30/4.30pm.
