The North West of England has plenty to offer the traveller with beautiful countryside, panoramic ocean views and the awesome Lake District.

We are staying in the coastal resort of Morecambe which has attracted visitors since the 1850s. Stunning views over the bay from the rejuvenated, long promenade which is dotted with public art. The town celebrates the life of its most famous son, Eric Morecambe, with a life size statue of him in typical 'Bring me Sunshine' pose! Along the front and in the town there are plenty of cafes and restaurants so grab an ice cream and sit on one of the benches looking out to sea.   

Excellent excursions on this holiday with memorable visits to the stunning Lake District including a lake cruise, a canal cruise with a visit to Southport plus a visit to historic Lancaster.

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 7.00/8.15am, we have comfort stops as required. Arriving early evening with time before dinner.

DAY 2
Enjoy a full breakfast in the restaurant before we head off for a morning excursion to nearby Lancaster. With a wealth of history, it's a great town to spend some time, with cobbled streets and historic buildings around the centre including the 11th century Castle, the impressive Priory and Town Hall. Returning for free time in Morecambe. 

DAY 3
Fun day out today as we head South to Barton Grange for a canal cruise along the splendid Lancaster Canal. This scenic cruise features attractive countryside scenery and views of the Bowland Hills as well as the regular sightings of the canals resident bird life such as the herons, ducks , swans, coots, swallows plus the not so regular kingfishers and cormorants. After, we move on to Southport. Discover Lord Street, the famous tree lined Victorian boulevard with shops, restaurants and tearooms. Head towards the seafront to see Marine Lake – the largest man-made leisure lake in the UK plus see the spectacular long pier and wide beach with lines with sand dunes.

DAY 4
After breakfast we head North and in to the awesome scenery of the Lake District. Touring through this remarkable region covering many of the highlights, we also include a boat cruise - one of the best ways to enjoy this unique landscape. A truly wonderful day out.

DAY 5
Enjoy a final Full English Breakfast before we head home. Comfort stops and a main stop for lunch during the day before arriving back in the local area around 6.00pm.
