Come along and join our break to one of Britain’s favourite holiday destinations - on the English Riviera.

Blessed with a balmy climate and famous for it's palm trees, it's easy to see why Torquay has attracted visitors since Victorian times. There is stunning scenery along the coast road and historic towns are dotted throughout the region. The traditional harbour and stylish Princess Pier marina area offer the town a continental atmosphere, with a growing selection of
eateries to sample. Stroll along the attractive waterfront esplanade to the new Abbey Sands leisure development and enjoy a drink overlooking Torbay. We are delighted to be staying at the 3* Headland Hotel which has been rated so highly on our holiday questionnaires.

DAY 1
Departing your local pick-up point in the morning (approx. 9.00am), we travel to Torquay stopping for lunch on route and arriving at the hotel mid afternoon with time to relax in the hotel before dinner followed by entertainment.

DAY 2
Lovely local excursion today as we head to nearby Babbacombe. We drop on the clifftop which offers panoramic ocean views. Find a bench to enjoy the view, grab a coffee in one of the café bars or why not head down to Oddicombe Beach on the Cliff Railway. Return to the hotel for time at leisure.

DAY 3
Memorable day today and one of the highlights of this short break as we head to Dartmouth. From here we board our River Boat for a wonderful circular boat trip viewing Bayards Cove, Kingswear and Dartmouth Castles, Britannia Royal Naval College, Dittisham Village, Sir Walter Raleigh's Boathouse, Greenway Quay and The Estate of the late Dame Agatha Christie. A lovely addition to your day out in Devon. Full, informative (and usually amusing!) commentary is provided. Followed by free time in the town. 

DAY 4

We head home with a lunch stop on the way. Arriving back in the local area around 3.30/4.30pm.

One of the highest rated 3* Hotels in Torbay by the AA.
Boasting splendid sea views from many of the bedrooms, the hotel stands in two acres of grounds overlooking Meadfoot Bay. The hotel has become a firm favourite with Highcliffe Coach Holiday customers over the years and offers a very good standard of accommodation and cuisine.
