Blackpool has been Britain’s most popular resort for many years with iconic attractions like the famous Tower Ballroom, the Golden Mile, the fun filled Blackpool Pleasure Beach with thrilling rides and the tallest roller-coaster in the UK, pleasure piers and the striking Blackpool Tower. Entertainment is at the heart of this Lancashire seaside town so you might want to take in a show at the Grand Theatre or Winter Gardens. Around the town there are some great open air art instillations and galleries like the Grundy with contemporary visual art exhibitions or head to the tranquil gardens and boating lake at Stanley Park.

We are based for this holiday at the excellent 3* Doric Hotel on the seafront – quality surroundings, great service, food and entertainment. Fantastic value for money!

DAY 1                
After being collected from your local pick point around 7.00/8.00am we travel to Blackpool with refreshment stops as required, arriving late afternoon at the hotel.

DAY 2
Day out to Southport. Great day out to this classic British seaside resort. Discover Lord Street, the famous tree lined Victorian boulevard with shops, restaurants and tearooms. Head towards the seafront to see Marine Lake – the largest man-made leisure lake in the UK plus see the spectacular long pier and wide beach with lines with sand dunes.

DAY 3
Day out to the Lake District. It would be crazy to travel to the North West and not visit this wonderful area. We have a full day out visiting some of the towns of the region and more importantly, enjoying the beautiful views of this unique region which has attracted famous literary and artist figures through the ages. We will also arrange for a boat trip during the day.

DAY 4
Time at leisure to enjoy the hotels position on Queen’s Promenade. With excellent transport links into town with a bus stop directly outside or take the heritage tram down to the Pleasure Beach and enjoy all the other attractions of Blackpool.

DAY 5
We leave the hotel after breakfast and head home with comfort stops as required before arriving back in the local area around 5.00/6.00pm.
