Boasting some of the most spectacular scenery in the UK, this holiday includes views of the Brecon Beacons and the Cambrian Mountains. Based in mid Wales - our hotel is the superb 4* Metropole Hotel in the Victorian Spa town of Llandrindod Wells - a lovely little town to explore. It’s also an ideal base to explore the area, and there is much to see. A very popular holiday. Holiday includes a revised excursion for Summer 2020. 

REVISED ITINERARY FOR SUMMER 2020

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 8.00am, we have refreshment stops as required before arriving in Llandrindod Wells late afternoon.

DAY 2
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before we head off for a beautiful scenic drive through the valleys down to the coast and the coastal town of Aberystwyh. Plenty of time here in the town to explore and enjoy the shops, grab something for lunch and stroll along the Victorian seafront.After lunch here we continue to the Red Kite Feeding Centre at Gigrin Farm for the breathtaking spectacle of these beautiful birds at feeding time! Entrance included.

DAY 3
A free day at leisure in the town. 'Landod' is a great place to spend the day with plenty of shops and cafes and an attractive Victorian & Edwardian architecture. Head down to the man-made Llandrindod lake - a popular place to spend some time, popular for fishing and model boating,  

DAY 4
A lovely day today as we are joined by our excellent local guide for a tour of the Brecon Beacons including views of Pen y Fan. Touring through the region and learning about the history and geology with some photo stops and a main stop for lunch.

DAY 5
We head home with comfort stops as required – returning to the local area around 5.00pm.

This privately run luxury hotel enjoys an excellent reputation and is ideally located in the elegant town of Llandrindod Wells. A traditional Victorian hotel enjoying modern comforts with a lovely atmosphere - there are lounges where you can relax, enjoy a coffee or why not have a drink in the stylish wood panelled brasserie bar with brass fittings.

The award-winning restaurant is a highlight of the hotel - choice of menu for your evening dinner and a lovely Full ‘Welsh’ breakfast.
