Historic Cheshire - Arley Hall & Chester - Mon 29th May 2017

A superb destination for a wonderful holiday, Cheshire has a wealth of history and attractions for the visitor. Staying in a top quality 4* Q Hotel, we have included some superb excursion destinations with views of the breathtaking and dramatic scenery of the region. This holiday includes scenic drives through quaint market towns, a beautiful country home and the world class destination of Chester - rich in a history dating back to the Romans and beyond. After a day exploring it’s lovely to return to a quality  hotel where you can relax and enjoy your surroundings.

DAY 1
After being collected from your home (approx 7.00am) we have comfort stops on route before arriving at the hotel late afternoon with time to relax or enjoy the extensive leisure facilities of the hotel.

DAY 2
After breakfast relax before our late morning departure for the superb Arley Hall & Gardens. This beautiful Victorian country home is surrounded by beautiful countryside and has some of the finest gardens in the country. We have included entrance to the Hall with a tour and plenty of time to explore the extensive gardens. Arley was recently used in the hugely popular BBC show Peaky Blinders as the country home of the Shelby family. 

DAY 3
Memorable day out today as we head to Chester. We will be joined by our tour guide for a guided coach tour of the city including the 1000 year old cathedral, Roman Amphitheatre, the 700 year old Rows galleries shopping street, the River Dee and the most complete city walls in Britain. Plenty of free time after to enjoy this fantastic destination.  

DAY 4
In the morning we head to Nantwich. The town has a pedestrianised centre lined with historic wood beamed houses - a lovely place to spend some time. Returning to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure to enjoy the surroundings.

DAY 5
We depart the hotel after breakfast and head home - returned to your home by our service around 5.00pm.

4* Crewe Hall Hotel

From the tree lined driveway to the magnificent reception, Crewe Hall is a hugely impressive 17th century Grade I listed building. With high ceilings and wood panelled walls the amazing public areas are decorated from the Jacobean period. Modern architecture has been added offering all the facilities required of today’s luxury hotel.  Outside there are extensive grounds and gardens. Leisure facilities are excellent and include a large indoor swimming pool & spa complex. The lounge provides a lovely place to relax in a sofa and enjoy a drink. In the restaurant you will be served a delicious 3 course dinner with a choice of menu and a full hot buffet for breakfast. All the hotel bedrooms are large and comfortably furnished with en-suite private bathrooms, Colour TV, hair dryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Passenger lift to all floors. Free WiFi throughout.
