Discover the beauty of Cornwall in springtime with our delightful five-day coach holiday, staying at the charming Rosemundy House Hotel in the picturesque coastal village of St Agnes. Situated on Cornwall's spectacular north coast, this lovely village provides a wonderful setting for a relaxing holiday, surrounded by magnificent scenery, unspoilt countryside and a coastline renowned for its natural beauty.
St Agnes retains much of its traditional Cornish character, with narrow streets, attractive stone cottages, independent shops, welcoming pubs and charming cafés. Once an important centre of Cornwall's tin mining industry, the village has a fascinating heritage, with historic engine houses still standing proudly along the dramatic coastline.
Just a short distance from the village lies the beautiful sandy cove of Trevaunance, sheltered beneath rugged cliffs and surrounded by spectacular coastal scenery. The surrounding area offers breathtaking views across the Atlantic Ocean, while the countryside is particularly attractive in May, with colourful wildflowers, fresh greenery and the promise of warmer spring days.
Our home for four nights is the welcoming Rosemundy House Hotel, an attractive country house hotel set within peaceful grounds, offering comfortable accommodation and a relaxing atmosphere.
During our stay, we include three enjoyable excursions exploring some of Cornwall's most appealing destinations. We visit the magnificent spring gardens at Trewithen, followed by the picturesque fishing harbour of Mevagissey. Another morning takes us to the charming harbour town of Padstow, while a further excursion visits the ever-popular seaside resort of St Ives, famous for its beautiful beaches, galleries and delightful harbour.
With comfortable coach travel, four nights' accommodation and a varied programme of excursions, this promises to be a thoroughly enjoyable spring holiday in one of Cornwall's most attractive coastal locations.
DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 8.00/9.30am, sit back, relax and enjoy the lovely scenery of Dorset and Devon on the journey to Cornwall. There will be comfort stops on route including a main stop for lunch before arriving in St Agnes late afternoon. Time to settle in to your room before dinner. Delicious food at the Rosemundy - 3 courses with choice of menu.
DAY 2
Wake up to the peace of the Rosemundy! Head down for a delicious breakfast in the restaurant before we head off for todays excursion.
Our excursion begins with a visit to the lovely Trewithen Gardens, one of Cornwall's most attractive privately owned gardens, set within a peaceful country estate. Particularly beautiful during May, the gardens are renowned for their impressive collection of rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolias and other spring-flowering shrubs. There will be time to wander through the gardens at leisure, enjoying the colourful displays, mature trees and tranquil woodland surroundings. A welcoming café and plant centre also provide opportunities for refreshments and a little browsing.
We then continue to the picturesque fishing village of Mevagissey, a traditional Cornish harbour nestled between the surrounding hills. Its narrow winding streets, colourful cottages and busy fishing harbour have retained much of their original character.
There will be free time to explore the attractive waterfront, browse the independent shops and galleries, or perhaps enjoy lunch or afternoon refreshments in one of the village's welcoming cafés and traditional pubs. Alternatively, simply relax overlooking the harbour, watching the fishing boats coming and going while enjoying the atmosphere of this charming Cornish village.
Entrance to Trewithen included.
DAY 3
Padstow - Lovely excursion out to this Cornish gem with plenty of time to stroll around the streets, grab something to eat and drink in one of the many cafes, pubs or restaurants. The town has boomed in last few years with the influence of Rick Stein and there are a number of 'Ye Olde' traditional pubs through the streets with plenty of nice shops too. Enjoy the lovely views over the River Camel estuary to Rock - classic Cornish views with traditional ferry boats on the water. Returning for a free afternoon in St Agnes.
DAY 4
After breakfast we head off for another excursion to one of Cornwall's most popular towns. Once a major centre for the pilchard fishing industry, St Ives became a magnet for artists, attracted by the 'unique' light and the natural beauty of the area. Surrounded by beautiful, sandy beaches including Porthminster, Porthmeor & Porthgwidden the town is now a major tourist attraction. Plenty to enjoy along the narrow streets with independent shops and plenty of eateries or pick up a traditional pasty and find a spot to sit. We will arrange for the minibus service to take you from the top car park down to and back from town.
DAY 5
Sadly we head home this morning, with refreshment stops as required before arriving back in the local area around 4.30pm.

This family run hotel is set in four acres of gardens in the centre of the unspoilt village of St Agnes on Cornwall's north coast. It is a short 100 metre walk (up quite a steep hill though!) from this impressive converted manor house, up on to the main street which has a selection of shops, a couple of traditional pubs and cafes. If you want to go further, head down through the enclave of Peterville to the pretty cove of Trevaunance and reward yourself with a drink overlooking the ocean in Schooners Bar. The hotel offers a chance to relax and recharge with a peaceful friendly atmosphere and comfortable lounges to enjoy a cup of tea. When the weather allows there is some leisure seating out on the lawn. The personal attention of the management and staff at the hotel is excellent – they really want you to enjoy your stay and return! Enjoy a drink in Tom Noggi’s Bar before dinner which is served in the large elegant restaurant. The food is highly rated with our customers – there is a choice of 3 courses plus tea & coffee in the evening with the accent on local fresh ingredients. For breakfast, enjoy an extensive self serve hot & cold buffet. At this time we are unsure if the outside pool will be available in 2026.
All the hotel bedrooms are a good size, comfortably furnished with good quality en-suite private bathrooms - some shower over bath, some shower only. Colour TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities included. There is no lift at the hotel but there are only 18 steps on the split staircase. 2 steps up in to reception.
