3* Studley Castle Hotel
As is often the case with our historic houses, Studley has a fascinating and chequered past! The drive up to the hotel certainly has the wow! factor
Built in 1836 by the High Sheriff of Warwickshire as a family home, the ‘Castle’ never actually served as a fortification. Having being transformed in to an Agricultural College for Women in the early 1900s the site went on to be a training camp for the Women’s Land Army during the First and Second World Wars.
The hotel has been redeveloped by Warner Leisure Hotels and is now their largest property with 216 bedrooms. As a new-build, the hotel has superbly blended the old with the new, offering excellent modern comforts throughout and superb facilities. Throughout the stylish interior, there are plenty of places to sit, relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the hotel - head for one of the bars or the Coffee Nest cafe.
The hotel has the usual top quality entertainment, activities and leisure facilities you have come to expect from this popular group. Evening entertainment takes place in The Evesham - one of the largest multi-functional rooms in Warwickshire with purpose-built sloped flooring, and pillar-free ceiling with a large stage and dance floor. State of the art lighting and sound.
The great thing about Warner Hotels is there is always something going on but you choose what you want to do. Make the most of the outdoors around Studley Castle on foot or on two wheels - you can borrow a Pashley bike! Other outdoor activities include archery and shooting - experts provide hands-on tuition.
To really relax, head to the award winning Stables Spa - enjoy the sauna or steam room, swim a few lengths or find a comfy corner to enjoy the ambience. There is a wide range of treatments on offer - delivered by expert therapists.
