There is stunning scenery along the coast road and historic towns are dotted throughout the region. The traditional harbour and stylish Princess Pier marina area offer the town a continental atmosphere, with a growing selection of eateries to sample. We are delighted to have secured space at The Babbacombe Hotel which has proved to be a very popular hotel with our customers - an absolutely wonderful location on the delightful Babbacombe clifftop with great opportunities to stroll along the clifftop or walk down to the beach! Nightly entertainment in the Show Bar - except Wednesday!

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 8.30/9.45am we have comfort stops as required before arriving at the hotel in the afternoon. Very welcome cup of tea or coffee with plenty of time to settle in to your room, become accustomed with the hotel and take a stroll or maybe enjoy a drink overlooking the sea, before dinner. After dinner, entertainment in the Show Bar!

DAY 2
Enjoy a full English breakfast in the hotel restaurant before we board the coach for a lovely excursion. Located in the lush South Hams area of Devon, Kingsbridge is a historic market town with a lovely atmosphere, plenty of shops and eateries, antique shops, art galleries, and gift shops. Explore the town via passages such as Squeezebelly Alley and discover not only Kingsbridge’s history but hidden treasures such as mosaics, a community garden and miniature railway. The town is beautifully located on the banks of a lovely estuary - great for a leisurely walk and a quayside with ferry boats operating - when the tide is right! Returning to the hotel mid/late  afternoon for some free time to relax around the hotel and on the clifftop.

DAY 3
Day at leisure today so relax around the hotel and enjoy the locality. You could take the cliff railway down to Oddicombe Beach, explore Babbacombe Model Village with its intricate miniature world, or unwind in one of the welcoming cafés and traditional pubs. Explore the traditional shopping area of St Marychurch, with its boutique and independent stores or you can easily catch the bus close to the hotel and head off along the coast.

DAY 4
In the morning we head off for today's excursion to discover the charm of Tavistock, a delightful market town on the edge of Dartmoor, perfect for a relaxing day out. Rich in history and character, Tavistock is the birthplace of Sir Francis Drake and home to a fascinating mix of heritage and modern appeal. Wander through the historic Pannier Market, where unique gifts, crafts, and local produce tempt at every turn. Stroll along the pretty River Tavy and explore the town’s elegant architecture, from Victorian buildings to ancient abbey remains. Independent shops, cosy cafés, and welcoming inns make it easy to pause and soak up the atmosphere. 

DAY 5
We head home with a stop for lunch before arriving back to your local drop off point around 3.00/4.00pm.

The Babbacombe Hotel
Beautifully positioned on the clifftop in the Torquay suburb of Babbacombe, this hotel offers a warm welcome for a fun holiday experience. The views are stunning - overlooking the famous Babbacombe Downs and panoramic views across Lyme Bay towards Dorset. Many of the bedrooms have sea aspects and private balconies - extra charge applies. 

Decorated throughout to a good standard - those stunning views are a constant. You can enjoy your meals in the restaurant whilst looking out over the sea, Breakfast is a self serve hot & continental with plenty of choice and in the evening - 3 courses are included with at least 4 choices. Again, it is a self serve buffet but help is at hand if needed. Open dining times in the restaurant for your meals. 

The entertainment is a highlight of the hotel with many top local entertainers appearing in the impressive Show Bar. Sure to make your holiday go with a bang.

Bedrooms are clean and comfortable with televisions, tea and coffee making, hairdryer and WiFi. Bathrooms are modern and offer walk in showers - no baths. Disabled bathrooms are also available. Single Rooms have single beds. Modern lift to most rooms and porterage is included if required.
