Superb holiday staying in the very heart of Cornish life in Looe and with excursions discovering the beautiful countryside, towns and people of the region. The historic fishing Port of Looe on Cornwall’s south coast is amazing - you can ‘feel’ the history of the town centred around the bustling harbour where you can watch the catch being ‘brought-in’ by the fishing boats.
It’s a great place to explore - stroll through the labyrinth of narrow streets lined with cafes, antique shops and pick up a tasty pasty in one of the bakers to enjoy on the sandy beach. A wonderful destination with a great hotel for a lovely holiday.
This hotel has been awarded a Travellers' Choice 2025 Award - meaning they consistently earn great reviews from travellers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor for enjoyment and value for money.
DAY 1

Settle in to the hotel and enjoy the views with a delicious and very welcome Cream Tea included in the price. During our stay there will be some evening entertainment plus the centre of Looe is just across the bridge so its a short stroll to a choice of pubs.
DAY 2
Memorable day out today. We head for the biggest attractions in the county. When the Eden Project opened in March 2001 it provided a massive boost to the county – by June that year over a million people had been! Eden barely needs an introduction, its a dramatic global garden housed in tropical biomes that nestle in a crater the size of 30 football pitches. Over the years the landscape has matured – time to go back and experience the sights, smells and scale of the rainforests in the Rainforest Biome - the world's largest greenhouse, walk amongst the orange and lemon trees and olive groves of the Mediterranean Biome. Entrance included.
DAY 3
In the morning you may choose to join our short excursion to the quaint traditional fishing port of Polperro. Wander through narrow, winding streets lined with whitewashed cottages, explore the historic harbor, and soak in breathtaking coastal views. Polperro offers a peaceful retreat and a taste of traditional Cornish life, Polperro is a hidden gem waiting to be explored.
Please note that it is a 15 minute stroll down to the village from the car park so may not be suitable for all but the walk is well worth it.
Returning to the hotel around lunchtime or early afternoon for a totally free afternoon to enjoy the comfort of the hotel and explore Looe.
DAY 4
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and some free time before we depart on todays excursion. Beautifully located on the Lynher estuary, near Plymouth, Antony House & Gardens is an excellent destination. The house is still home to the Carew Pole family and with its striking silver grey stone, is one of the finest Queen Anne buildings in the West Country. Discover the story of a family who became caught up in the extraordinary events of the English Civil War. View the outstanding collection of portraits, including works by Sir Joshua Reynolds and a famous painting of Charles I during his trial. There are also fine examples of period furniture, textiles and tapestries. Explore the landscape garden, which includes a formal garden with topiary, modern sculptures and the National Collection of Daylilies. You may recognise Antony from Tim Burton’s blockbuster, Alice in Wonderland. Tea room available or you may like to bring a picnic to eat in the grounds. Entrance included. National Trust members - £10 discount.
DAY 5
We leave the hotel after breakfast and have a stop for lunch before arriving back to your local drop off point around 3.30/4.30pm.
