Come along for a fun Christmas break away at this quality hotel in Torquay – the heart of the English Riviera. One of our favourites - always assured of quality accommodation, lovely food, a fun atmosphere and live entertainment.
Blessed with a balmy climate and famous for it's palm trees, it's easy to see why Torquay has attracted visitors since Victorian times. There is stunning scenery along the coast road and historic towns are dotted throughout the region. The traditional harbour and stylish Princess Pier marina area offer the town a continental atmosphere, with a growing selection of eateries to sample. We are delighted to be returning to the 3* Headland Hotel which will be fully decorated and have a party atmosphere with entertainment and festive cuisine. Join the fun!!

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 8.30 to 9.30am we have comfort stops as required including a main stop for lunch before arriving at the hotel mid afternoon. Settle in to your room and enjoy the festive atmosphere of the hotel before tonight's dinner - 3 course with choice of menu.
DAY 2
Enjoy a wide selection of choices for breakfast - from a full cooked English to a range of cereals and cold options. In the morning we depart for an excursion to a destination in the local region - hopefully the weather behaves! Returning to the hotel in the afternoon for free time to relax. This evening head for the Gallery Lounge for a complimentary glass of Sparkling Cassis or Sherry and Canapes followed by a warm welcome from the Hotel Managers and team. Enjoy your evening meal in the Romanoff Restaurant and then adjourn to the Gallery Lounge to enjoy your evenings entertainment.
DAY 3
Christmas Eve - Start the day with a full English Breakfast, before we board the coach for a short mystery excursion out - organised by your driver. Board and table games are available on the display table in the foyer along with some fun competitions with prizes to be won! A sumptuous lunch is served in the restaurant from 12pm - 2pm. The Big Quiz 2025 will commence at 3pm followed by tea, coffee and Yule log which will be served in the Gallery Lounge at 4.30pm. Enjoy some close up magic from Peter Baffles at 5pm. Evening meal will be served from 6.00pm - 8.00pm. Mulled wine and mince pies may tempt you at 10pm.
DAY 4
Christmas Day - Happy Christmas! Enjoy a glass of Bucks Fizz with your Christmas Breakfast and a gift from the team. The morning is yours to enjoy, so relax around the public areas, take in those stunning sea views or take a stroll along the clifftop and build up an appetite for your lunch!! Full Christmas Lunch is served in the restaurant between 12pm - 3pm. In the afternoon, enjoy a game of Bingo followed by tea/coffee and Christmas Cake. This evening a Celebration Buffet is served and then adjourn to the Gallery for a glittering evening of entertainment.
DAY 5
Boxing Day - After your choice of breakfast we have another mystery excursion in the local area to enjoy the scenery in this beautiful area. Heading back to the hotel to enjoy a Lunch Buffet. In the afternoon you may want to join the coach to the nearby Babbacombe Theatre for the traditional Variety Show - your ticket is included. Dinner this evening in the Romanoff Restaurant followed by a fabulous night of music and dancing with the prizes for various competitions awarded.
DAY 6
Enjoy a last breakfast, and say goodbye to the hotel staff before we head home with a stop for lunch before arriving back to your local drop off point around 2.00/3.00pm.

We have been taking groups to this hotel for many, many years and have always found the quality of decor, accommodation and food to be of a very good standard - it has become a firm favourite with Highcliffe Coach Holiday customers. And the standard and facilities keep improving with additions in recent years including a spa complex and wonderful outside decking area. All the public areas around the hotel are tastefully decorated with a complimentary chic modern style.
Professionally managed and with a great staff, the hotel has been awarded a Travellers' Choice 2024 Award - meaning they consistently earn great reviews from travellers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor for enjoyment and value for money.
Boasting splendid sea views from many of the bedrooms and some of the public areas, the hotel stands in two acres of grounds overlooking Meadfoot Bay – you can follow the footpath down to the bay or into Torquay. It’s quite steep in sections though!
Relax with a coffee in the elegant reception foyer area or head to the Gallery Lounge and Terrace - perfect place to enjoy the view, grab a drink, snack, or light lunch. If the sun is shining, why not sit out on the sea view terrace and enjoy the picturesque setting. Evening entertainment is on every night at the hotel, except Wednesday!
All bedrooms are well appointed and have en-suite bathroom – some with shower over bath, some shower only – TV, WiFi, Tea/coffee making and hairdryer.
Enjoy dining in the superb Romanoff Restaurant which offers a full hot & continental breakfast – self serve. In the evening, choose from a classic menu – 3 courses with a choice of menu served at the table. Set dining time for group. Passenger lift to most rooms – some corridors have a couple of split level steps. Porterage included.
