Outstanding value holiday at The Nethway Hotel. Great position in town - family run and with friendly staff and entertainment!!

Blessed with a balmy climate and famous for its palm trees, it's easy to see why Torquay has attracted visitors since Victorian times. There is stunning scenery along the coast road and historic towns are dotted throughout the region. The traditional harbour and stylish Princess Pier marina area offer the town a continental atmosphere, with a growing selection of eateries to sample. Stroll along the attractive waterfront esplanade to the new Abbey Crescent leisure development and enjoy a drink overlooking Torbay. It is certainly worth exploring the newly refurbished Illuminated Royal Terrace Gardens with wonderful views from the top.

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 8.30/9.45am we have comfort stops as required before arriving at the hotel mid afternoon. Settle in to your room and maybe take a stroll before dinner. Relax in the lounge bar after or stroll in to town.

DAY 2
Enjoy a full English breakfast and then you may like to join our excursion to Dartmouth. Today we are joined by our excellent local tour guide who will offer an interesting glimpse in to the people and history of the area. Discover wonderful countryside before we arrive in this beautiful historic town. Home to the famous Naval College which stands guarding the town but with a maritime history which spans much further back in to history including links to Sir Francis Drake & The Pilgrim fathers. So much to see here with narrow streets lined with interesting shops, galleries, restaurants and pubs or you may like to take a boat trip along the river. Returning for free time at the hotel.

DAY 3
A relaxing day today. Free for you to explore the town on your own. Stroll in to town - the seafront is a 15 minute walk away - or just hop on the bus outside the hotel and head off along the coast.

DAY 4
Another fantastic day today as we are joined by our excellent local guide who will explore the history and landscape of the dramatic Dartmoor National Park. This dramatic, ancient moorland has an abundance of rare birds, Neolithic  monuments and ancient woodland. We will learn of the connections between mankind and the traditions which have sculpted this unique region. Perhaps the most famous inhabitants are the rugged ponies who roam the park amongst the distinctive stone Tors. The region has been an inspiration for literary greats over the years - with the likes of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie finding inspiration for classics. We will also travel through and stop at some of the towns and villages which are dotted through the area. Lovely day out.

DAY 5
We head home with a stop for lunch before arriving back to your local drop off point around 3.00pm.
