This hotel has recently been refurbished and now offer excellent quality bedrooms and stylish public areas - lovely, welcoming atmosphere! Better than ever and highly recommended. Amazing value too!!!!

The Cotswolds is designated as an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ and is perhaps the quintessential English countryside landscape. Gentle hills criss-crossed with stone walls, hidden river valleys, and distinctive market towns and  villages are the hallmark of this wonderful region. We keep tweaking the itinerary so we can mix it up from year to year - hopefully showing you somewhere new each time as well as visiting some favourite spots. For the time being Bourton-on-the-Water is off limits for coaches, but there is plenty more to see!

As well as passing some stunning scenery we will also be stopping in Marlborough, Stow-on-the-Wold, Broadway, Burford and Woodstock. Amazing how much you can squeeze in to a couple of days! A really enjoyable break.

Returning to the Holiday Inn Gloucester-Cheltenham which offers good quality modern accommodation at excellent value.

TOP VALUE SHORT BREAK!!!

DAY 1
Departing your local pick-up point (approx. 7.30-9.00am), we have a quick comfort stop before arriving in the historic Wiltshire Market town of Marlborough. A lovely destination with a picture postcard wide main street lined with half timbered house and a host of shops and eateries. Time in the town before reboarding the coach and heading in to the Cotswolds - stopping next in the lovely town of Burford. One of the most picturesque towns in the region, Burford's main street is lined with old stone houses and attractive Tudor and Georgian frontages - absolutely typical of the area. Stroll down to the bottom of town for a peek at the medieval bridge over the River Windrush. Plenty of eateries and an abundance of Antique shops to explore.

Plenty of time here before we continue to our hotel on the edge of Gloucester. Arriving around 4.00pm with time to relax and enjoy the facilities before your 3 course dinner with choice of menu.

PLEASE NOTE - THE ITINERARY FOR THIS MINI BREAK IS SUBJECT TO POSSIBLE ALTERATION ON THE DAY DUE TO THE POPULARITY OF THE TOWNS & VILLAGES!! WE WILL MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE BEST TIME AWAY.

DAY 2
Enjoy a full English breakfast with cold options available before we leave the hotel and head out. Stopping in the charming town of Broadway - ‘The Jewel of the Cotswolds’ and justifiably so with beautifully coloured stone houses. From here we are on to Stow-on-the-Wold for our main lunchtime stop. The impressive Market Square has been hosting markets since the 12th century and is surrounded by charming Georgina buildings. Plenty of shops to explore and a choice of eateries and pubs. From here we continue - enjoy the Cotswolds countryside until we arrive at the 'new' town of Woodstock, adjacent to the magnificent Blenheim Palace estate. With a 900 year old history the town’s beautiful fine Georgian facades house hotels, cafes, shops and galleries. Some time here before we head home. Arriving back in the local area around 6.00/7.00pm
