Blessed with a balmy climate and famous for it's palm trees, it's easy to see why Torquay has attracted visitors since Victorian times. There is stunning scenery along the coast road and historic towns are dotted throughout the region. The traditional harbour and stylish Princess Pier marina area offer the town a continental atmosphere, with a growing selection of eateries to sample. We are delighted to be returning to the 3* Headland Hotel which will be fully decorated and have a party atmosphere with nightly entertainment and festive cuisine. Join the fun!!

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 8.30 to 9.30am we have comfort stops as required before arriving at the hotel mid afternoon. Settle in to your room and enjoy the ambience of the hotel - lets celebrate Christmas in style.  This evening head for the Gallery Lounge for a complimentary glass of Sparkling Cassis or Sherry and Canapes followed by a welcome speech by The General Manager and an opportunity to meet the team. Enjoy your evening meal in the Romanoff Restaurant and then adjourn to the Gallery Lounge to enjoy your evenings entertainment. 

DAY 2
Christmas Eve - Start the day with a full English Breakfast, before we board the coach for a short mystery excursion out - organised by your driver. Returning to the hotel where a sumptuous lunch is served in the restaurant followed by free time - maybe take a walk along the clifftop or enjoy a board game in the lovely lounge foyer. Tea, coffee and Yule log will be served in the Gallery Lounge in the afternoon. Christmas Eve dinner is available from 6.30-8.30pm. After the main cabaret, Mulled wine and mince pies may tempt you at 10pm. Any night birds may want to view the televised midnight mass showing in the Ascot Lounge afterwards.

DAY 3
Christmas Day - Happy Christmas! Enjoy a glass of Sparkling Bucks Fizz with your Christmas Breakfast! Santa will be waiting by the fireplace at 9.30am after having a busy night delivering gifts to all. If you have been good this year he may have something for you too. Take a local walk and build up an appetite for your traditional Christmas Lunch at 12.30-2.30pm. The annual Queens Speech will be televised in the Ascot Lounge at 3.00pm. From 3.15pm there will be some festive fun and games in The Gallery Lounge followed by Tea, Coffee and Christmas cake. A Celebration Buffet awaits you this evening from 6.30-8.30pm. Adjourn to the Gallery for a glittering evening of entertainment.

DAY 4
Boxing Day - After your choice of breakfast we have another mystery excursion in the local area to enjoy the scenery in this beautiful area. Heading back to the hotel to enjoy a Lunch Buffet and festive punch in the Restaurant. In the afternoon you may want to join the coach to the nearby Babbacombe Theatre for the traditional Variety Show - your tickets is included. Get your glad rags on for tonight’s dinner this evening, starting with a Gala Dinner in the Historic Romanoff Restaurant. Followed by a fabulous night of music and dancing with the prizes for various competitions awarded.

DAY 5
Enjoy a last breakfast, and say goodbye to the hotel staff before we head home with a stop for lunch before arriving back to your local drop off point around 2.00/3.00pm.

We have been taking groups to this hotel for many, many years and have always found the quality of decor, accommodation and food to be of a very good standard - it has become a firm favourite with Highcliffe Coach Holiday customers. And the standard and facilities keep improving with additions in recent years including a spa complex and wonderful outside decking area. All the public areas around the hotel are tastefully decorated with a complimentary chic modern style.

Professionally managed and with a great staff, the hotel has been awarded a Travellers' Choice 2023 Award - meaning they consistently earn great reviews from travellers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor for enjoyment and value for money. 

Boasting splendid sea views from many of the bedrooms and some of the public areas, the hotel stands in two acres of grounds overlooking Meadfoot Bay – you can follow the footpath down to the bay or into Torquay. It’s quite steep in sections though!

Relax with a coffee in the elegant reception foyer area or head to the Gallery Lounge and Terrace - perfect place to enjoy the view, grab a drink, snack, or light lunch. If the sun is shining, why not sit out on the sea view terrace and enjoy the picturesque setting. Evening entertainment is on every night at the hotel, except Wednesday!

All bedrooms are well appointed and have en-suite bathroom – some with shower over bath, some shower only – TV, WiFi, Tea/coffee making and hairdryer. 

Enjoy dining in the superb Romanoff Restaurant which offers a full hot & continental breakfast – self serve. In the evening, choose from a classic menu – 3 courses with a choice of menu served at the table. Set dining time for group. Passenger lift to most rooms – some corridors have a couple of split level steps. Porterage included.
