Few cities rival the historic splendour of York and it is no wonder that it is one of our top selling destinations. Steeped in history spanning 2000 years, York is a compact walled riverside city home to world-class attractions including the stunning York Minster. We stay within the medieval city walls allowing you time to explore the historic centre and its many attractions and cobbled streets lined with interesting and original shops. Don’t miss The Shambles, perhaps the most picturesque streets in England complete with overhanging timber-framed houses and traditional shopfronts. York Minster, one of the largest cathedrals in Northern Europe is also on the must
do list. In fact, add the excellent Jorvik Viking Centre and National Railway Museum and its easy to see why many of our customers choose to spend all their time in the city! York - if you haven’t been - go.

This hotel has been awarded a Travellers' Choice 2023 Award - meaning they consistently earn great reviews from travellers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor for enjoyment and value for money.

A memorable excursion today as we head to Castle Howard. Undoubtedly one of the finest country estates in Britain, the approach through the extensive estate reveals this striking baroque masterpiece. This magnificent 18th Century historic house is set within 1000 acres of breathtaking parkland and gardens and has been the backdrop for many TV dramas & films, perhaps most famously in Brideshead Revisited. The museum takes around 1 ½ hours to go round and is self guided. The museum was awarded the Best of The Best Award by TripAdvisor 2022!!
