Sometimes you overlook things right on your doorstep! Tourists come from all over the country to visit the Isle of Wight - it has a unique blend of coastline from stunning cliffs to beautiful beaches, whilst inland the countryside is a patchwork of farmland, woodland and heathland dotted with timeless villages. There is a diverse range of resorts for the visitor to explore and enjoy. For this special break we are staying in the largest, Sandown. Sandown is a traditional British Seaside Resort with a wide sandy beach, long level promenade and pier.

DAY 1
Leaving your local pick-up point in the morning - 9.30/11.00am approximately - we head to Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth for a lunch stop before boarding the ferry over on to the Island. Arriving at our hotel approximately 4.30pm with time to relax and settle in before dinner.

DAY 2
Fantastic day out today. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast with views of the ocean before we head off for the day touring the Island exploring the history and heritage of the coast, countryside and some of the towns and villages around the Island.

DAY 3
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before todays short excursion. We board the coach for the short journey to The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary near Ventnor. The Sanctuary is set over 55 acres, has free entry with a gift shop and a cafe. Donations will be gratefully received for the upkeep of this excellent facillity which gives a forever-home for over 100 donkeys. Very popular trip out!

DAY 4
Great day out as we visit the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. Plenty to see here including the Train Story Discovery Centre, museum, locomotive and carriage workshops, a well-stocked gift shop and refreshment rooms. It’s also home to the Haven Falconry Bird of Prey Centre. Of course, we step aboard the beautifully restored steam train for a ride along the tracks! Entrance included with your holiday. 

DAY 5
We leave the hotel after breakfast and head back to the mainland via the Yarmouth-Lymington crossing. Arriving back in the local area around midday to 1.00pm.

The 88 bedrooms are well appointed with modern facilities - ensuite bathrooms, televisions, tea & coffee making facilities and telephone. All our twins/doubles on allocation have sea views, whilst the single rooms are non sea view. Passenger lift to all floors.
