The city centre blends grand old buildings with cutting-edge modern design.

There are a host of destinations to discover in the city so immerse yourself in the history and character of this remarkable city. We have excursions but the holiday also leaves plenty of free time for you to explore - the city centre hotel making this easy. Sold on a Bed & Hotel Breakfast Basis as there are so many restaurant choices in the immediate area, so you can head off in to the night. If you want to stay in the hotel in the evening - no problem. Meals available in the restaurant or the amazing bar lounge.

DAY 1

Departing your local pick-up point in the morning (approx. 7.30/8.45am), we travel to Liverpool with comfort stops on route. Continuing to arrive at our hotel in the centre of the city late afternoon.

DAY 2
Enjoy a full breakfast in the hotel before we are joined by our excellent local guide for a panoramic coach tour of the city including Beatles Highlights. This popular tour offers an insight into the history of Liverpool, the story of how the City has developed over the years and it also acts as a good signpost for places you may want to see later. We see the City’s major landmarks, including  Cathedrals, Town  Hall, Pier Head, Albert  Dock and the Museum and Galleries. Added bonus this year with the addition of Beatles Highlights including a visit to either see the homes of John Lennon and Paul  McCartney or the locations featured in two of their most famous songs, Penny Lane and Strawberry Field. Free time after.

DAY 3
It's a day at leisure today - a chance to explore at your own pace and see the sights you are interested in. Enjoy.

DAY 4
Today you may like to join our excursion to Chester - included in the price of the holiday. Setting off after breakfast we will rendezvous with our excellent local tour guide for a coach tour of the city. Chester is an absolutely fabulous destination to explore - one of Britain's most popular places for tourists. Founded as a Roman fortress, you can see the course of British history here - from Viking raiders to Norman invaders and on. Chester has the most complete city walls and the largest Roman Amphitheatre in Britain, plus a 1000 year old Cathedral and the visually stunning  700 year old Rows galleries full of shops. Great day out.

DAY 5
We head home stopping on route for comfort breaks before arriving back in the local area around 4.00/5.00pm.
