Blessed with a balmy climate and famous for it's palm trees, it's easy to see why Torquay has attracted visitors since Victorian times. There is stunning scenery along the coast road and historic towns are dotted throughout the region. The traditional harbour and stylish Princess Pier marina area offer the town a continental atmosphere, with a growing selection of eateries to sample. We are delighted to have secured space at The Babbacombe Hotel which has proved to be a very popular hotel with our customers - an absolutely wonderful location on the delightful Babbacombe clifftop with great opportunities to stroll along the clifftop or walk down to the beach! Nightly entertainment in the Show Bar - except Wednesday!

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 8.30/9.45am we have comfort stops as required before arriving at the hotel in the afternoon. Plenty of time to settle in to your room, become accustomed with the hotel and take a stroll or maybe enjoy a drink overlooking the sea, before dinner . After dinner, entertainment in the Show Bar!

DAY 2
Enjoy a lovely breakfast overlooking the sea before we depart for todays excursion to Buckland Abbey. A wonderful National Trust property, Buckland has 700 years of history but is perhaps most famously linked with one of England’s most famous seafarers, Sir Francis Drake. The Abbey is part museum, part house, and filled with treasures such as the legendary Drake’s Drum. Surrounded by meadows, orchards, woodlands and lovely gardens.  Returning for free time at the hotel. Entrance fee included in holiday price. National Trust member discount - £10

DAY 3
Memorable day today as we head first for Totnes where we board one of the excellent river cruise boats. Special cruise today as we head downstream, enjoying the picturesque, lush scenery of the South Hams, looking out for the river wildlife on this 90 minute journey to historic Dartmouth. Disembark and enjoy plenty of time exploring this delightful historic town and finding somewhere nice for lunch. Some lovely shops here - a lovely place to sit and enjoy the views over the estuary to Kingswear and watch the boats bustling along the river. A wonderful day out. Boat fare included in holiday price.

DAY 4
You're on holiday - day at leisure today ! So relax, enjoy your breakfast being cooked, relax around the hotel, take a stroll along the front and potter around the area. If you want to go further afield, the local bus service will take you along to Torquay centre or up the coast to Teignmouth or Dawlish.  

DAY 5
We head home with a stop for lunch before arriving back to your local drop off point around 3.00/4.00pm.

The Babbacombe Hotel
Beautifully positioned on the clifftop in the Torquay suburb of Babbacombe, this hotel offers a warm welcome for a fun holiday experience. The views are stunning - overlooking the famous Babbacombe Downs and panoramic views across Lyme Bay towards Dorset. Many of the bedrooms have sea aspects and private balconies - extra charge applies. 

Decorated throughout to a good standard - those stunning views are a constant. You can enjoy your meals in the restaurant whilst looking out over the sea, Breakfast is a self serve hot & continental with plenty of choice and in the evening - 3 courses are included with at least 4 choices. Again, it is a self serve buffet but help is at hand if needed. Open dining times in the restaurant for your meals. 

The entertainment is a highlight of the hotel with many top local entertainers appearing in the impressive Show Bar. Sure to make your holiday go with a bang.

Bedrooms are clean and comfortable with televisions, tea and coffee making, hairdryer and WiFi. Bathrooms are modern and offer walk in showers - no baths. Disabled bathrooms are also available. Single Rooms have single beds and have some steps to the room. Modern lift to most rooms and porterage is included if required.
