Cornwall, the westernmost and southernmost part of mainland Britain is washed on all sides by the warm waters of the Gulf Stream.

The peninsula is surrounded by a stunning coastline from wide sandy beaches to intimate rocky coves and charming fishing villages which tell the story of this magical county. Join us on this package to the excellent quality 3* Rosemundy House Hotel, tucked away in the Cornish village of St Agnes. For the more adventurous, there are plenty of walking paths in the area with the sea not too far away. Come away for a lovely relaxing break. Very popular destination.

Cornwall has so many places to visit - we have selected a blend of charming ports, views of the countryside and a magnificent country estate - details below.

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 8.00/9.30am, we have refreshment stops as required before arriving in St Agnes late afternoon.

DAY 2
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel - extensive buffet in the large dining room. We head off to Padstow - plenty of time in this Cornish gem - stroll around the streets, grab something to eat and drink in one of the many cafes, pubs or restaurants. Enjoy the lovely views over the River Camel estuary to Rock - classic Cornish views with traditional ferry boats on the water. It's a lovely place to spend some time - potter about and find a nice gift in one of the shops. Returning to the hotel for free time.

DAY 3
After your full breakfast we board the coach and head across Cornwall for an excursion to Falmouth. With the world's third largest natural deep-water harbour, the town is steeped in maritime history going back at least 500 years. You can explore more at the excellent National Maritime Museum which is located in the town centre. There is some excellent shopping around  the town, check out the Falmouth Art Gallery plus the town has a growing reputation as a place for great food with a diverse selection of restaurants, cafes and bars. You may like to take to the water yourself - should have plenty of time to board a pleasure boat for a trip along the Fal River. Great day out.

DAY 4
Today will be a free day to relax around St Agnes. Enjoy time around the hotel and in the grounds, head down in to town or maybe go a bit further and head for the sea.

DAY 5
After a full English breakfast, we head for Llanhydrock. Surely one of the very best National Trust destinations in the UK, this magnificent late Victorian country house is set in a huge estate in the middle of Cornwall. The interior is highly impressive, with 50 rooms open to visitors. Highlights include the carved ceiling in the Long Gallery, and the huge library. Follow the route through the house and over in to the servants and family rooms for a fascinating insight in to the Robartes family history. Outside, enjoy the formal gardens and take a look in the church which adjoins the house at the back. Usual excellent National Trust giftshop and catering facilities to enjoy. Includes entrance. NT Member discount - £15

DAY 6
We head home this morning, with refreshment stops as required before arriving back in the local area around 4.30pm.

Meal Plan - Dinner Bed & Breakfast

3* Rosemundy House Hotel

This family run hotel is set in four acres of gardens in the centre of the unspoilt village of St Agnes on Cornwall's north coast. It is a short 100 metre walk (up quite a steep hill though!) from this impressive converted manor house, up on to the main street which has a selection of shops, a couple of traditional pubs and cafes. If you want to go further, head down through the enclave of Peterville to the pretty cove of Trevaunance and reward yourself with a drink overlooking the ocean in Schooners Bar. The hotel offers a chance to relax and recharge with a peaceful friendly atmosphere and comfortable lounges to enjoy a cup of tea. When the weather allows there is some leisure seating out on the lawn. The personal attention of the management and staff at the hotel is excellent – they really want you to enjoy your stay and return! Enjoy a drink in Tom Noggi’s Bar before dinner which is served in the large elegant restaurant. The food is highly rated with our customers – there is a choice of 3 courses plus tea & coffee in the evening with the accent on local fresh ingredients. For breakfast, enjoy an extensive self serve hot & cold buffet. At this time we are unsure if the outside pool will be available in 2024.

All the hotel bedrooms are a good size, comfortably furnished with good quality en-suite private bathrooms - some shower over bath, some shower only. Colour TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities included. There is no lift at the hotel but there are only 18 steps on the split staircase. 2 steps up in to reception. Ground floor rooms are available - book early if required.
