We are delighted to be returning to The Peak District - a wonderful area to explore. In 1951, the Peak District was the first of Britain’s 15 national parks and covers 555 square miles in the heart of England and reaching into five counties: Derbyshire, Cheshire, Staffordshire, Yorkshire and Greater Manchester. The Peak District is made up of impressive gritstone edges, steep limestone dales and rolling hills and farmland criss-crossed with dry stone walling. This beautiful, dramatic landscape not only offers magnificent scenery, charming towns and villages and superb historic houses, but also has a rich industrial heritage. A hugely popular destination for our customers.

On top of this - enjoy a day in Halifax with visits to Shibden Hall - the setting for the hit BBC Series Gentleman Jack, and the remarkable Piece Hall!

This highly regarded destination dates back to 1420 with attractions including a 17th century aisled barn, workshops, carriage collection and displays relating to different crafts, including a blacksmiths, coopers, wheelwrights and saddlers. Shibden Hall recently gained focus in the BBC drama series, 'Gentleman Jack' which explored the life of the diarist Anne Lister who lived and worked here. The Hall is surrounded by beautifully gardens and estate land. Entrance fee included.

Just before lunch we depart for the centre of Halifax and the remarkable Piece Hall. Standing in the heart of the town since 1779, the huge open-air courtyard was originally a Cloth Hall but is now surrounded by unique and boutique independent shops, bars, cafes and a restaurant.
