Early Spring is a lovely time to visit Cornwall as the county is the first to awaken from the cold of Winter and the gardens and hedgerows offer a burst of colour. We are delighted to be returning to the excellent 3* Hannafore Point Hotel. High on the clifftop, the hotel offers some of the best ocean views in the South West.

Staying in the very heart of Cornish life in the historic fishing port of Looe on Cornwall’s amazing south coast. There is a lovely atmosphere around this charismatic town where you can ‘feel’ the history. There’s a bustling harbour where you can watch the catch being ‘brought-in’ by the fishing boats and pleasure boats potter along the river. It’s a great place to explore - stroll through the labyrinth of narrow streets lined with cafes, antique shops and pick up a tasty pasty or bag of chips to enjoy on the beach. A wonderful destination – one of our favourites.

This hotel has been awarded a Travellers' Choice 2023 Award - meaning they consistently earn great reviews from travellers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor for enjoyment and value for money.

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point approximately 8.00/9.30am we have a comfort and main stop for lunch before arriving at the hotel late afternoon. Relax in the Lounge and enjoy the views before dinner. Subject to minimum numbers there will be a Roast Carvery dinner tonight! There will be entertainment on 2 of the nights.

DAY 2
Memorable day out today. We head for the biggest attractions in the county. When the Eden Project opened in March 2001 it provided a massive boost to the county – by June that year over a million people had been! Eden barely needs an introduction, its a dramatic global garden housed in tropical biomes that nestle in a crater the size of 30 football pitches. Over the years the landscape has matured – time to go back and experience the sights, smells and scale of the rainforests in the Rainforest Biome - the world's largest greenhouse, walk amongst the orange and lemon trees and olive groves of the Mediterranean Biome. Entrance included.

DAY 3
A day at leisure today. Plenty of options for things to do around the town or you can enjoy the hospitality of the hotel. For the active, you may like to take a walk along the South West Coast Path and get away from it all or you can head down in to town – maybe find a special gift, find a nice restaurant, pub or just a bag of chips on the beach!

DAY 4
A lovely day out today as we meet our excellent local guide for a day exploring the dramatic scenery and history of the county. Passing through historic towns and villages with stops during the day and a main stop somewhere nice for lunch.

DAY 5
After breakfast we head home. Stopping for lunch before arriving back in the local area and returned to your local drop off point around 4.00/5.00pm.

Meal plan -  Dinner Bed & Breakfast

3* Hannafore Point Hotel

Always popular with our customers. Occupying a wonderful clifftop position in West Looe, The Hannafore Point is a unique town-house style hotel with panoramic coastal views from St. Georges island and on to Rame Head. This well appointed hotel is a 10 to 15 minute walk down in to town.

Meals are served in the main restaurant - subject to minimum numbers, dinner on the first night will be Carvery - all other meals being choice menu on the day.  The hotel uses as much local, fresh ingredients as possible. You can relax and enjoy the views from Raffles Lounge Bar or the more lively Island Bar on the ground floor.

There will be live entertainment for one of the evenings during our stay. Waves Spa and Leisure Club has a lovely indoor swimming pool, spa pool and sauna. All bedrooms are comfortably furnished with en-suite facilities, tea/coffee making and colour television. Most bathrooms are shower over bath. Sea View rooms from many of the bedrooms - supplements apply. Lift to most rooms - but some steps between levels. There are steps up to the front door although a sloped entrance is available if required. The hotel may not be suitable for those with walking difficulties.
