Set amidst the stunning scenery of south-west Ireland, Killarney provides the perfect location for a fantastic holiday. This pretty resort’s quaint side streets are bursting with traditional pubs, quality restaurants and colourful shops. Kerry has always offered visitors a great diversity of scenery, culture, leisure activities, ancient history and folklore. The captivating allure of this mountainous area has an abundance of natural beauty, enriched by sub-tropical flora flourishing in an unusually warm and temperate climate. It’s not hard to see why this area is so popular.

Our holidays to the area have always been very popular. This year we are staying at the 4* Killarney Towers Hotel located in the centre of town.

Our local guide who joins us for the fantastic excursions around the ‘Ring of Kerry’ and ‘Dingle Peninsula’ will keep you amused whilst they tell tales of local folklore and the area’s history. Please book early to secure your place!

CHANGE OF FERRY CROSSING - AMENDED DEPARTURE TIMES 

DAY 1                   
After being collected from your local pick up point around 5.00am/6.30am we travel to Fishquard in West Wales with comfort stops on route as required before boarding the 2.00pm Stena Line ferry to Rosslare. The ship should dock at 5.30pm and we continue with a short journey to the 3* Maldron Hotel on the outskirts of Wexford. Excellent quality hotel - modern, clean, tidy with comfortable bedrooms. Most rooms bath with shower over. Dinner tonight in the hotel restaurant - 3 courses with choice of menu. 

DAY 2                  
After breakfast we depart the hotel and continue to Killarney. With comfort stops on route, it is a beautiful journey today as we pass in to County Kerry. Arriving at the hotel late afternoon with plenty of time to settle in to your room before dinner. 3 course dinners throughout your stay in Killarney - with choice of menu.

DAY 3                  
A free day at leisure in Killarney. Your driver/courier will also organise an optional excursion by horse Jaunting Carts around the town and through the National Park to Lough Leane for a boat trip on the lake. Absolutely beautiful scenery from onboard with a typically Irish commentary from the Captain! Memorable day out. Extra charge for boat & carts.

DAYS 4 & 5         
Two full day excursions with our local guide. 

The spectacular Ring of Kerry drive around the Iveragh Peninsula is one of Europe’s great drives. Travelling through spectacular changing scenery - from dramatic ocean views dotted with the islands off the coast, to lush green valleys and mountain passes - all in one day! 

The Dingle Peninsula, famously used in the iconic film ‘Ryan’s Daughter’ offers more stunning scenery. Includes time in the charming town of Dingle – if time permits head for fish ‘n’ chips at Reel Dingle Fish – amazing!

DAY 6                   
After breakfast we depart Killarney and enjoy the lovely Irish scenery with stops during the day before arriving at our overnight hotel in the lovely town of Waterford. The excellent 3* Dooley's Hotel - superbly positioned in the town centre - make time for a stroll along the quayside. 3 course evening dinner included with choice of menu. Early to bed with an early start tomorrow!

DAY 7               
Leaving the hotel before breakfast we make the journey to Rosslare - it is around an hour away - for the 8.15am Stena Line ship. When on board head for the restaurant for breakfast (not included). The ship arrives in Pembroke at 11.45am. Comfort stops as required on our journey home - arriving back to the local area around 7.00pm.

Situated in the heart of Killarney town, this superb hotel offers modern facilities in comfortable and stylish surroundings – proven to be an extremely popular hotel with our customers.

The hotel also boasts the lively O’Donoghue's Bar where there is live evening entertainment throughout the main season - for the full Irish experience! As well as the traditional wood paneled pub there are plenty of places to sit in comfort around the hotel to plan your day or enjoy a book with a drink.

Leisure facilities at the hotel include a superb indoor swimming pool. In the contemporary restaurant there is a 3-course evening dinner - served buffet style with a wide choice of menu plus tea or coffee to follow. The spacious bedrooms are finished to a very high standard - very comfortably appointed with modern bathrooms - most with shower over bath. Other room facilities include tea/coffee making, Safe, Iron and Ironing board, Air Conditioning, WiFi. Single supplement is for sole use of a twin/double. Hotel porterage included.
