Blessed with natural beauty, this region has always been a popular destination. We are delighted to be returning to the superb 3* Northfield Hotel, set in a quiet residential area of Minehead, just a stone’s throw from the seafront. The Northfield is part of the Providence Hospitality Group which also own the Headlands, Palace and Queens Hotel on the English Riviera – excellent quality hotels. 

Set on the edge of Exmoor, Minehead has an attractive town centre with public gardens, plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. The beautiful South West Coast Path starts in the town, so plenty of walking opportunities but the location lends itself to some excellent excursion destinations.

DAY 1
Departing your local pick-up point in the morning (approx. 8.30 to 9.45am), we travel to the Somerset coast stopping for lunch on route and arriving at the hotel mid afternoon with time to relax in the hotel before dinner. Plenty of lovely countryside to enjoy on the way.

DAY 2
Enjoy a lovely full breakfast in the restaurant before we board the coach for a great day out - enjoying some wonderful scenery along the way. Heading West and up on to Exmoor National Park before arriving at the twin coastal towns of Lynmouth & Lynton. Lynmouth has rows of charming fishing cottages and shops around the pretty harbour whilst the Victorian village of Lynton is perched high above. The towns are connected by the Cliff Railway, the highest and steepest fully water powered Victorian railway in the World! Also included in the day is a trip on the Lynton & Barnstaple narrow gauge railway which travels above the wonderful Heddon Valley. 

DAY 3
Short excursion in the morning along the coast to visit the town of Watchet. Charming harbour and some nice pubs and cafes. Returning to the hotel for free time to relax and head out to explore Minehead.

DAY 4
We head home with an extended lunch stop on the way. Arriving back in the local area around 3.30/4.30pm.

The town centre shops, cafes and restaurants located on the attractive Parade are only a 10 minute stroll away. Facilities around the hotel include a heated indoor swimming pool and outside there are lovely terraces where you can enjoy a drink as well as plenty of indoor areas to relax and enjoy your surroundings. 

All bedrooms are well appointed and comfortably furnished with en-suite bath or shower, digital TV, tea facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi and bottled water. The restaurant is spread over three areas with a relaxed atmosphere. For breakfast enjoy delving into a full hot buffet to set you up for the day whilst in the evening we have included a 3 course dinner with choice of menu – served at the table. The hotel serves a traditional unpretentious British menu of excellent quality.
