**SUPERB HOTEL REFURBISHMENT 2023**

We have just returned from a look at the new style of this excellent hotel. Very pleased to report - it is excellent with a lovely, welcoming atmosphere! Better than ever and highly recommended. Amazing value too!!!! 

The Cotswolds is designated as an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ and is perhaps the quintessential English countryside landscape. Gentle hills criss-crossed with stone walls, hidden river valleys, and distinctive market towns and  villages are the hallmark of this wonderful region. 

During this 2 day break you will see many of the best sights including the delightful Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Broadway, Burford and Moreton-in-Marsh. Amazing how much you can squeeze in to a couple of days! A really enjoyable break.

Returning to the Holiday Inn Gloucester-Cheltenham which offers good quality modern accommodation at excellent value.

DAY 1
Departing your local pick-up point (approx. 9.00am), we travel to the historic Marlborough for a comfort stop before we head to The Cotswolds. Stopping in the lovely town of Stow-on-the-Wold for a lunch break before enjoying free time in Bourton-on-the-Water with its delightful low stone bridges. We arrive at our hotel late afternoon with time to relax and enjoy the views from hotel or a stroll around the grounds before your 3 course dinner with choice of menu.

DAY 2 
After breakfast we leave the hotel and head out. Stopping in the charming town of Broadway - ‘The Jewel of the Cotswolds’ with time here for a coffee. We continue to Moreton-in-Marsh and on to Chipping Norton before continuing to the medieval town of Burford for a lunch break. Excellent selection of eateries in the town. After time to explore we start to head home travelling through Lechlade. We will arrive back to your local drop off point at around 6.00pm.

Conveniently situated 2 miles outside of Gloucester centre this hotel offers the usual high standard of accommodation and facilities. Set in leafy grounds the hotel has a superb health club with large indoor pool and you can relax in the lounge and bar in an informal atmosphere. 

Your 3 course choice of evening meal and full English breakfast will be served in Traders Restaurant. All bedrooms are comfortably furnished with en suite bathrooms - please note all rooms are bath with shower over - although the bath height is quite low. Flat screen TV, tea/coffee making facilities. No lift but plenty of Ground floor rooms available. 

2023 UPDATE - The hotel has undergone an extensive refurbishment and from our visit in January 2023 we are happy to report is better than ever!! Check out our pictures!
