This spectacular 17th century baroque mansion is situated in South Gloucestershire, not far from Bristol. Surrounded by a stunning 274 acres of rolling parkland offering lovely views of the house and beyond. The house is renowned for an ancient herd of over 200 fallow dear. From the founder William Blathwayt, the house has a remarkable history and has many Dutch influences - there is a fine collection of paintings, wall hangings, furniture and ceramics. Within the house there are exhibitions highlighting how Dyrham was built and adapted over the years. Impressive fountains and cascades lead to the tranquil West Gardens with an abundance of trees, plants and wildlife. Excellent day out.
