Superb holiday staying in the very heart of Cornish life in Looe and with excursions discovering the beautiful countryside, towns and people of the region. The historic fishing Port of Looe on Cornwall’s south coast is amazing - you can ‘feel’ the history of the town centred around the bustling harbour where you can watch the catch being ‘brought-in’ by the fishing boats.

It’s a great place to explore - stroll through the labyrinth of narrow streets lined with cafes, antique shops and pick up a tasty pasty in one of the bakers to enjoy on the sandy beach. A wonderful destination with a great hotel for a lovely holiday.

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 8.15/9.30am we have a brief comfort stop and a main stop for lunch before arriving at the hotel around 3.30pm. Settle in to the hotel and enjoy the views with a delicious and very welcome Cream Tea included in the price. During our stay there will be some evening entertainment.

DAY 2
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and some free time before we depart on todays excursion. Beautifully located on the Lynher estuary, near Plymouth, Antony House & Gardens is an excellent destination. The house is still home to the Carew Pole family and with its striking silver grey stone, is one of the finest Queen Anne buildings in the West Country. Discover the story of a family who became caught up in the extraordinary events of the English Civil War. View the outstanding collection of portraits, including works by Sir Joshua Reynolds and a famous painting of Charles I during his trial. There are also fine examples of period furniture, textiles and tapestries. Explore the landscape garden, which includes a formal garden with topiary, modern sculptures and the National Collection of Daylilies. You may recognise Antony from Tim Burton’s blockbuster, Alice in Wonderland. Tea room available or you may like to bring a picnic to eat in the grounds. Entrance included. National Trust members - £10 discount.

DAY 3
In the morning we depart for the nearby picture postcard fishing village of Polperro. Returning to Looe for an afternoon relaxing around the hotel, exploring the town or venture further afield along the South West Coast Path. Lovely, lovely!

DAY 4
Memorable day out today. First, we head to Charlestown for a quick look around this unique Cornish Port - a real glimpse back in time and somewhere you may remember seeing in Poldark. We continue to one of the biggest attractions in the county. When the Eden Project opened in March 2001 it provided a massive boost to the county – by June that year over a million people had been! Eden barely needs an introduction, its a dramatic global garden housed in tropical biomes that nestle in a crater the size of 30 football pitches. Over the years the landscape has matured – time to go back and experience the sights, smells and scale of the rainforests in the Rainforest Biome - the world's largest greenhouse, walk amongst the orange and lemon trees and olive groves of the Mediterranean Biome, and in the 30-acre Outdoor Garden see hemp, sunflowers and other plants, flourishing under the Cornish sun. Entrance included.

DAY 5

We leave the hotel after breakfast and have a stop for lunch before arriving back to your local drop off point around 3.30/4.30pm.
