Come along and join our break to one of Britain’s favourite holiday destinations - on the English Riviera.

Blessed with a balmy climate and famous for it's palm trees, it's easy to see why Torquay has attracted visitors since Victorian times. There is stunning scenery along the coast road and historic towns are dotted throughout the region. The traditional harbour and stylish Princess Pier marina area offer the town a continental atmosphere, with a growing selection of eateries to sample. Stroll along the attractive waterfront esplanade to the new Abbey Sands leisure development and enjoy a drink overlooking Torbay. We are delighted to be staying at the 3* Headland Hotel which has been rated so highly on our holiday questionnaires.

DAY 2
Memorable day today and one of the highlights of you holiday. After breakfast we head to Paignton where we board the Dartmouth Steam Railway for a nostagic journey along the coast and through the countryside to Kingswear with a short ferry trip over to Dartmouth. Home to the famous Naval College which stands guarding the town but with a maritime history which spans much further back in to history including links to Sir Francis Drake & The Pilgrim fathers. So much to see here with narrow streets lined with interesting shops, galleries, restaurants and pubs or you may like to take a boat trip along the river. Collected by coach from the quayside mid afternoon.

Enjoy a full breakfast before we head off for a day in Plymouth. Full of fascinating maritime history, Plymouth is a great place to spend the day.  We will be met by our excellent local guide for a coach tour of the city and learn of the fascinating history followed by time at leisure. Plenty to see and do including the famous Plymouth Hoe, which has spectacular views over the harbour. You can even go up the iconic Smeaton’s Tower Lighthouse. Make sure you visit the Barbican waterfront area, which has speciality shops, restaurants and cafes with the charming backdrop of Plymouth's picturesque harbour. If you like a little retail therapy, Plymouth has the largest shopping-centre in the South West.
