Join us on this fantastic 8 day holiday as we tour through beautiful landscape visiting various destinations along the way. With so much to see over a large area, Scotland lends itself to a multi-hotel tour so we travel from place to place and see as much as possible on the way.

During the holiday you will experience the beautiful Western Highlands, a day on the Isle of Bute including a visit to the magnificent Mount Stuart House, views of Loch Lomond, an excursion to iconic Eilean Donan Castle. And there is much more packed in to this 8 day holiday - with a tour of the Isle of Skye, a cruise on Loch Ness and no tour of Scotland would be complete without some time in Edinburgh. Much more included and glourious countryside to view! 

During the holiday we stay in good quality, welcoming hotels throughout and with reasonable travel times during the day just sit back, relax and let Scotland soak in. We are sure you will want to return!

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 7.00/8.15am, sit back and relax as we travel north to our overnight hotel – we travel to Preston Lancashire for our overnight stay. Our overnight hotel is the superb 4* Hallmark Hotel Preston Leyland - choice of menu – no lift but ground floor rooms available. Quality modern hotel with excellent facilities for a comfortable stay. 3 course evening meal included with choice of menu and tea/coffee. Porterage included. Free use of leisure facilities including indoor pool.


DAY 2
Enjoyable day travelling as we head into Scotland and see the landscape changing on our way to our hotel located in the village of Arrochar at the head of Loch Long close to the mighty Loch Lomond.

The Arrochar Hotel – 3 star - Our base for 2 nights - A warm welcome awaits at this excellent hotel originally designed and built in the 19th century. Wonderful views over Loch Long from the public areas, the Arrochar Hotel has one of the most enviably positions in Argyll and Bute, based at the foot of the ‘Arrochar Alps’. All the comfortable bedrooms feature en suite bathrooms with bath and/or shower, tea & coffee making facilities and TV. Relax in the bar before or after dinner – which is a 3 course meal served in the restaurant with choice of menu followed by tea/coffee. Passenger lift. Porterage included


DAY 3 - Isle of Bute & Mount Stuart
After a full cooked breakfast, we head for the Isle of Bute. On to one of the finest mansions we have ever visited, Mount Stuart. We have a local connection to Mount Stuart as Highcliffe Castle was designed for the 3rd Earl of Bute. This remarkable neo-gothic mansion boasts impressive architecture, lavish interiors with spectacular art, extensive gardens and a lovely café. Truly a destination with a WOW factor. Price includes entrance. 


DAY 4 - Eilean Donan Castle & Isle of Skye
This morning we set off north to the beautiful Isle of Skye. Absolutely stunning unspoilt scenery passing various Lochs on route with photo opportunities and comfort stops along the way. Today we have also included a visit to Eilean Donan Castle. Built on a small island just off the shores of the Kyle of Lochalsh, the castle is accessed by a low stone bridge. This absolutely charming destination is one of the most recognised in all of Scotland and has featured in many films, series and shortbread tins! Time here to soak up the atmosphere and explore the fascinating interior displays. Continuing our journey and making the crossing over on to the Isle of Skye and our hotel.

The Dunollie Hotel – 3 star - Our base for 2 nights - Set directly by the waterside of Broadford Bay, this hotel is well located for a visit to this remarkable island, at the foot of the mountains that lead to the famous Cuillin Hills. Take a stroll along the waterfront and enjoy beautiful views in all directions. With 84 en suite bedrooms, a bar and restaurant, the hotel offers a good standard of accommodation for the traveller. Relax in the lounge bar with dinner served in the restaurant which looks out over the bay - Dinner with a 3 course choice followed by tea and coffee. The bedrooms are equipped with ensuite bathroom facilities and offer hospitality trays with tea and coffee and TV. No lift - some bedrooms on ground floor - stairs down to the restaurant. Porterage included.


DAY 5 - Isle of Skye & Dunvegan Castle & Gardens
Memorable day today. After a full Scottish breakfast we head off to explore Skye. Making our way to the famous Dunvegan Catle & Gardens, built on a rocky outcrop on the shores of Loch Dunvegan, it is the oldest continualy occupied castle in Scotland - ancestral home of the Clan Macleod, We continue with scenic drive up the Trotternish Peninsula home to the famous Old Man of Storr before stopping at the island capital, Portree.


DAY 6 - Loch Ness
After breakfast we leave Skye and head east passing through this stunning landscape of mountains and lochs towards our destination of Pitlochry in the heart of Scotland. We make a stop at Loch Ness and board our boat for a 50 minute cruise on the water. Onwards from here, in to the beautiful Cairngorms before arriving late afternoon.

The Fisher's Hotel - 3 star - 1 night - Located in the centre of the picturesque tourist town of Pitlochry, the Fishers is ideally situated to explore the town’s attractions and tour this beautiful area. With a remarkable history back to a coaching Inn,the hotel has welcomed visitors such as Robert Louis Stevenson and Gladstone. Under new owners the hotel has been brought up to date with a new restaurant and breakfast room, The Castle Restaurant and the Coach House Bar has also been refurbished. There are 140 bedrooms, all of which have been recently refurbished or refreshed. All rooms have TV, telephone, iron and board and tea/coffee making facilities. In the public areas there are lounge areas with fireplaces to relax by. Dinners are served - 3 Course, with a choice of 3 items per course followed by tea/coffee and a Full Scottish Buffet Breakfast. A lift serves the main building and the garden wing has ground floor rooms, although 3 steps lead "down" to the ground floor.


DAY 7 - Edinburgh
After a full cooked breakfast, we head for Edinburgh which is about 1 ½ hours away. Steeped in history, the compact capital of Scotland is a great day out. With a medieval Old Town and elegant Georgian New Town, there are parks and gardens dotted around the centre. Looming over the city is Edinburgh Castle, home to Scotland’s crown jewels. Head to the famous Calton Hill, topped with monuments and memorials, for a panoramic view of the city. Heading on to Gretna Green for our last overnight hotel.

Greens Hotel – 3 star - 1 night -  Lovely hotel with a striking interior design situated on the outskirts of Gretna Green. Surrounded by lovely grounds all the public areas are spacious - easy to relax with a coffee or drink before dinner. All rooms are comfortably furnished with modern facilities - hospitality tray, telephone, hairdryer and TV. Wi-Fi in all areas. Extensive hot and cold buffet breakfast and in the evening - enjoy a three course dinner with choice of menu. Passenger lift. Porterage included.


DAY 8 
After a full breakfast, we continue the journey home with comfort stops on route before returning to the local area around 6.00pm.
