Blessed with a balmy climate and famous for its palm trees, it's easy to see why Torquay has attracted visitors since Victorian times. There is stunning scenery along the coast road and historic towns are dotted throughout the region. The traditional harbour and stylish Princess Pier marina area offer the town a continental atmosphere, with a growing selection of eateries to sample. Stroll along the attractive waterfront esplanade to the new Abbey Crescent leisure development and enjoy a drink overlooking Torbay. It is certainly worth exploring the newly refurbished Illuminated Royal Terrace Gardens with wonderful views from the top. Enjoy fine dining six-course dinners with live pianist followed by nightly entertainment. (subject to restrictions).
DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 8.30/9.30am we have comfort stops as required before arriving at the hotel mid afternoon. Once you are settled into your room, come and enjoy a complimentary tea, coffee and treats in the lounge with a drinks reception from 5:30pm. Enjoy a relaxed fine dining six course evening meal in Seasons Restaurant at your leisure while being serenaded by the pianist. Food is and absolute highlight at the hotel!
DAY 2
In the morning we head for Plymouth where we are met by our excellent guide for a coach tour of the city and learn of the amazing maritime history. Free time after to explore – don’t miss the lovely waterfront area and the iconic lighthouse. Heading back to the hotel with a chance for Bingo in the lounge followed by your delicious six course evening meal followed by excellent entertainment.
DAY 3
Breakfast will be served in Seasons Restaurant after which you are free for the day. Maybe take a stroll into town, do a spot of shopping or book a relaxing beauty treatment with the hotel beauty therapist. Join in a competitive game of cash prize Bingo for those who wish to play at 5:00pm in the lounge. Your evening meal will be served in Seasons Restaurant.
DAY 4
After a wonderful breakfast we have a great excursion today with a visit to nearby Totnes. This historic market town sits on the banks of the River Dart in the heart of South Devon. Lovely country views on the way with the town centre full of historic buildings, a range of quirky independent shops and some great places to eat. Enjoy the relaxed unique atmosphere of this charming town. Returning to the hotel mid afternoon to enjoy the surroundings with complimentary tea or coffee in the lounge at 4.00pm with a quiz to test your general knowledge followed by a game of Bingo at 5:00pm for those who wish to play. Tonight is party night, so dress to impress for your evening meal before dancing the night away to our live entertainment.
DAY 5
We head home with a stop for lunch before arriving back to your local drop off point around 3.00pm.
