Beautifully situated on the edge of Sherwood Forest this Historic Victorian Hall is one of Warner’s flagship hotels. Set in over 1000 acres of Capability Brown parkland, and with attractions including Grade I listed Victorian gardens and an amazing Great Hall coupled with modern creature comforts. DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick point around 7.00/8.00am we have refreshment stops before arriving at the hotel late afternoon.
DAY 2
Excursion to one of the best country estates in Britain - Chatsworth House. The magnificent House and Capability Brown landscaped gardens are truly impressive with over 30 rooms to explore, from the magnificent Painted Hall, to the family-used chapel, regal State Rooms, newly restored Sketch Galleries and beautiful Sculpture Gallery. The 105 acre garden provides plenty to discover including the famous 300 year old Cascade and enormous Emperor fountain. Entrance extra - £20 per person.
DAY 3
Today we have an excursion to Lincoln. A popular destination with our customers, Lincoln has 2000 years of culture to absorb including the magnificent Cathedral and a lovely shopping quarter.
DAY 4
Short excursion to the delightful town of Southwell – one of the prettiest towns in Nottinghamshire. Southwell Minster is a splendid cathedral with one of the finest Norman naves in Europe and only a stone’s throw from the narrow high street and beautiful pubs and cafes. Steeped in history, the town played a significant role in the English Civil War - King Charles I spent his last night as a free man in Southwell in 1646.
DAY 5
We depart the hotel after breakfast and have a stop for lunch and a refreshment stop before arriving back in the local area around 4.00/5.00pm.

Extremely popular on previous visits, Warner’s 4* Thoresby Hall offers some of the best facilities in the group. Set in beautiful parkland near Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire the Historic House offers excellent cuisine and outstanding entertainment. Enjoy the original features of this impressive House with deep armchairs in the vaulted splendour of the Great Hall, with the broad terrace overlooking the croquet lawn and acres of classic parkland. There are two separate bars, the Library and the Late Lounge and the Thoresby Courtyard has a selection of shops. There will of course, be the usual quality nightly entertainment during your stay and an extensive leisure suite including 18m indoor swimming pool and Spa treatments are available. Finished to an excellent standard the comfortably furnished en-suite bedrooms have TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Passenger lift.
