Kent, Canterbury & Leeds Castle - Mon 19th Oct 2020

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 8.30/9.30am, we will have a lunch stop in the historic centre of Guildford before arriving at the hotel mid afternoon.

DAY 2
Enjoy a full breakfast before we head off again - our destination today is the nearby Leeds Castle.  With a breathtaking location on a lake - Leeds has been described as ‘the loveliest castle in the world’. It certainly has an amazing history, being the private home of medieval queens, a palace used by Henry VIII, right up to the modern day when its 500 acres of parkland and gardens have made the castle one of the most visited historic venues in the country. Returning to the hotel mid afternoon for free time.

DAY 3
In the morning we head for Canterbury. This historic destination is dominated by the magnificent Cathedral, the oldest in England, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which has played such an important part in our history. But there is much more to Canterbury, with other ancient ruins such as the Castle and a lovely cobbled centre to explore on foot. Free time for the day - returning to the hotel late afternoon.

DAY 4
Mid morning we head off for Royal Tunbridge Wells. Renowned for its Georgian and Victorian architecture, the town has a special atmosphere with a lovely 'village' area on the south side of town. Don't miss the historic old shops, pubs and townhouses on the High Street, Chapel Place or the famous 'Pantiles'. 

DAY 5
Enjoy one last breakfast at the hotel and say goodbye to the friendly staff before we head home with a stop for an early lunch in historic Chichester. Arriving back in the local area around 3/4.00pm.

Located 5 miles outside of Maidstone this 4* quality hotel is set in 26 acres of grounds, virtually 'next door' to the beautiful Leeds Castle Estate, so a great place to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Inside the hotel, relax in comfort with a clean, crisp modern decor including the comfortable lounge bar and airy restaurnat. For breakfast, enjoy a choice of hot or cold served in the restaurant whilst in the evening there a 3 courses of an international menu - again with choice and follwed by tea or coffee. Check out the facilities in the onsite health centre including an indoor pool. All bedrooms are comfortably furnished with en-suite bathrooms, TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
