Lake Garda & The Dolomites - Sat 11th Sept 2021

Lake Garda is, without doubt, one of Europe’s most beautiful destinations. Here, Italy’s largest lake meets the Alps creating a splendid natural scenery as the mountains seem to plunge straight into the sparkling blue waters of the lake. The wonderful climate of the area has created verdant valleys where rich vegetation including lemons, oranges, olives and grapes flourish. Dotted along the shores of the lake are towns and villages which are best reached by taking one of the many pleasure craft which cruise on the lake.

We have included an excursion with a local guide to Romeo & Juliet’s romantic Verona plus a day to discover the majestic landscape of the Dolomite Mountains.

Our journey to Italy is part of your holiday with some awesome scenery on the way! By taking two overnight stops we ensure that the travelling days are not too long and with plenty of comfort breaks you arrive in Italy ready to enjoy your stay in Riva del Garda. DAY 1 
After being collected from your home in the morning (7.00am approx.) we travel to Folkestone with comfort stop before joining the Eurotunnel. Continuing to arrive at the Mercure Reims Parc Des Expositions Hotel. Welcome drink on arrival with a 3 course set menu dinner included.

DAY 2 
After breakfast we depart the hotel – and continue through the French countryside to our second overnight hotel - TBC - near the border with Switzerland. 3 course set menu dinner included.

DAY 3
Beautiful day travelling today as we pass through theamazing mountain scenery of Switzerland before descending into Italy. Arriving at our hotel in Riva del Garda early evening. 3 course dinner with choice ofmenu at the Hotel Sole. During our stay at the hotel there will be Gala Dinner on one evening and a typical Trentino dinner by candlelight.

DAYS 4 to 7
During these days we have organised for two fantastic excursions – both included in the price. Joined by our local guide for a day in Verona, home to the love story Romeo & Juliet and a historic gem to explore with a remarkable Roman Amphitheatre. For the other excursion we head up into the wonderful Dolomites Mountains – beautiful views and historic towns and villages to see.

The rest of your time is at leisure with plenty of time to relax, take a boat trip on the lake and soak up the atmosphere.

DAY 8
Sadly we leave Lake Garda and travel back through Switzerland – returning to the overnight hotel - TBC - 3 course set dinner included.

DAY 9
After breakfast, sit back and relax as we travel back to the Mercure Hotel in Reims – 3 course set dinner included.

DAY 10 
We leave the hotel in the morning and board the early afternoon Eurotunnel crossing back to Folkestone. Arriving back in the local area at approximately 7.00pm and returned to your home via our home collection service.

The Hotel Sole has perhaps the best location in town, with the lakefront on one side and the cobbled main square on the other, whilst being in the heart of the action of the lovely historic town of Riva del Garda. Riva is located on the northern shore of Lake Garda which is the most picturesque area of the lake. As you walk out of the hotel you have a wide choice of shops, bars, restaurants and the ferry stop is just a stone’s throw away. All 80 bedrooms are well furnished with TV, hairdryer, mini bar and air
conditioning.

The hotel is furnished in a very traditional style, with an elegant restaurant overlooking the lake, comfortable public areas and a popular bar/ gelateria.
