Looe - Turkey & Tinsel Festive Break - Mon 23rd Nov 2020

These pre Christmas breaks are a great, fun way to enjoy the run up to Christmas with cuisine and entertainment in hotels decorated for the festive period.

We are delighted to be returning to the excellent 3* Hannafore Point Hotel - this time for a fun festive Turkey & Tinsel. High on the clifftop, the hotel offers some of the best ocean views in the South West.

Staying in the very heart of Cornish life in the historic fishing port of Looe on Cornwall’s amazing south coast. There is a lovely atmosphere around this charismatic town where you can ‘feel’ the history. There’s a bustling harbour where you can watch the catch being ‘brought-in’ by the fishing boats and pleasure boats potter along the river. It’s a great place to explore - stroll through the labyrinth of narrow streets lined with cafes, antique shops and pick up a tasty pasty or bag of chips to enjoy on the beach. A wonderful destination – one of our favourites.

DAY 1

After being collected from your local pick up point around 8.00/9.00am, we have a comfort and main stop for lunch before arriving at the hotel late afternoon. On arrival enjoy a welcome tea/coffee with a mince pie and settle in to your room before dinner. Subject to minimum numbers there will be a Roast Carvery dinner tonight!

DAY 2
After an enjoyable breakfast we head for Plymouth where we are met by our excellent guide for a coach tour of the city and learn of the amazing history. Free time after to explore – don’t miss the lovely waterfront area. 

DAY 3
After breakfast we have an excursion to one of the biggest attractions in the county. The Eden Project barely needs an introduction, its a dramatic global garden housed in tropical
biomes that nestle in a crater the size of 30 football pitches. Experience the sights, smells and scale of the rainforests in the Rainforest Biome - the world's largest greenhouse, walk amongst the orange and lemon trees and olive groves of the Mediterranean Biome and much more. Entrance included.

DAY 4
A day at leisure today. Plenty of options for things to do around the town or you can enjoy the hospitality of the hotel. For the active, you may like to take a walk along the South West Coast Path and get away from it all or you can head down in to town – maybe find a special gift, find a nice restaurant, pub or just a bag of chips on the beach!

DAY 5
After breakfast we head home. Stopping for lunch before arriving back in the local area and returned to your home by our service around 4.00/5.00pm.

3* Hannafore Point Hotel

Always popular with our customers. Occupying a clifftop position in West Looe this well appointed hotel is a 10 minute walk down in to town. With a friendly service there is a large dining room, lounge and bar offering stunning views over the bay plus there will be some live entertainment during our stay. Waves Spa and Leisure Club has a lovely indoor swimming pool, spa pool and sauna. All bedrooms are comfortably furnished with en-suite facilities – most rooms have bath with shower over, tea/coffee making and television. Sea View rooms from many of the bedrooms - supplements apply. Lift to most rooms. There are steps up to the front door so this hotel may not be suitable for those with walking difficulties.
