Come along and join our break to one of Britain’s favourite holiday destinations - on the English Riviera. 

Blessed with a balmy climate and famous for it's palm trees, it's easy to see why Torquay has attracted visitors since Victorian times. There is stunning scenery along the coast road and historic towns are dotted throughout the region. The traditional harbour and stylish Princess Pier marina area offer the town a continental atmosphere, with a growing selection of eateries to sample. Stroll along the attractive waterfront esplanade to the new Abbey Sands leisure development and enjoy a drink overlooking Torbay. We are delighted to be staying at the 3* Headland Hotel which has been rated so highly on our holiday questionnaires.

CHANGE OF ITINERARY FROM MAIN BROCHURE - DAY 2

DAY 1
Departing your local pick-up point in the morning (approx. 9.30am), we travel to Torquay stopping for lunch in Bridport/West Bay or Otter Nurseries before arriving at the hotel mid afternoon with time to relax in the hotel before dinner followed by entertainment.

DAY 2
Memorable day today and one of the highlights of this short break as we head to Dartmouth. From here we board our River Boat for a wonderful circular boat trip viewing Bayards Cove, Kingswear and Dartmouth Castles, Britannia Royal Naval College, Dittisham Village, Sir Walter Raleigh's Boathouse, Greenway Quay and The Estate of the late Dame Agatha Christie. A lovely addition to your day out in Devon. Full, informative (and usually amusing!) commentary is provided. Followed by free time in the town. Boat trip included.

DAY 3
In the morning we have a short excursion along the coast to the fishing port of Brixham. It’s still one of the busiest fishing ports in the UK, and a nice place to stroll around for a couple of hours. Returning to Torquay for free time in the town centre.

DAY 4
We head home with a lunch stop on the way. Arriving back in the local area around 3.30/4.30pm.

Boasting splendid sea views from many of the bedrooms, the hotel stands in two acres of grounds overlooking Meadfoot Bay. The hotel has become a firm favourite with Highcliffe Coach Holiday customers over the years and offers a very good standard of accommodation and cuisine. Facilities include a sauna, spacious lounges, bars and a lovely reception foyer area where you can relax in leather sofas with a coffee.
