Step back in to the Edwardian age at this magnificent country retreat near Dorking. Once the home of one of the great society hostesses of the time, the house entertained the celebrities and royalty of the age. The house was transformed into a glittering spectacle by the same architects who designed The Ritz Hotel in London. Amongst the rooms there is an extensive collection of fine art from Dutch old masters to ceramics including Faberge eggs. Outside, there are lovely grounds to explore with splendid gardens and woodland for those who want a longer walk. Facilities include the Granary Café which serves a selection of hot and cold food. Price includes entrance.
