One of the best National Trust destinations in the South of England. The celebrated 18th Century landscaped gardens of Stourhead are world famous; your first sight of the lake will leave you amazed. There are stunning views around the grounds with gothic temples, monuments, rare plants and a criss-cross of sloping walkways surrounding the lake. The stunning Palladian Mansion, once the family home of the Hoares, is full of Georgian treasures, Chippendale furniture and fine paintings. This really is an amazing destination and is well worth a visit.
