We are delighted to be returning to The Peak District - a wonderful area to explore. The Peak District has become a hugely popular destination as it offers magnificent scenery and superb historic houses. We shall be joined by our local guide for a fantastic day out exploring England’s first National Park including the famous Snake Pass road. We have also included entrance to the superb Lyme Park, one of the National Trust’s premier destinations and excursions to the Spa town of Buxton and Bakewell. Lovely countryside.

DAY 1
After being collected from your local pick up point around 7.30/8.30am we have comfort stops as required and a main stop for lunch before arriving at the hotel late afternoon. On arrival, relax with a complimentary tea or coffee.


DAY 2
After breakfast we have an excursion visiting the lovely elegant Georgian Spa town of Buxton with plenty of time to explore and enjoy the fine buildings and shops. We continue with a
beautiful drive to the historic market town of Bakewell.


DAY 3
Superb day out today as we are joined by a local guide for views of the some of the best locations around Britain’s first National Park. We shall try to cover as much of the variety of landscape in The Peak District as possible, including the amazing Snake Pass.


DAY 4
Excursion to Lyme Park. Remember Colin Firth in BBC’s ‘Pride & Prejudice’? The famous lake scene was shot here! A glorious Edwardian house surrounded by gardens and a huge estate. (Entrance inc.)


DAY 5
We leave in the morning having comfort stops as required - returning to the local area around 5.00pm.

Built in 1825 as the home of William Turner, MP, Shrigley Hall is now a beautiful 4* country house hotel in the Peak District, set in 262 acres of spectacular countryside and boasts its own 18 hole championship golf course. You can enjoy a drink in the Courtyard Bar and in the evening, there is a 3 course dinner with choice of menu followed by coffee.
