- Duration: 4 Days
- Product code: PEQTAG
Blessed with a balmy climate and famous for its palm trees, it's easy to see why Torquay has attracted visitors since Victorian times. There is stunning scenery along the coast road and historic towns are dotted throughout the region.
Torquay was the birthplace of Agatha Christie with many of her novels drawing inspiration from the town and local landscape. The traditional harbour and stylish Princess Pier marina area offer the town a continental atmosphere, with a growing selection of eateries to sample. Stroll along the attractive waterfront esplanade to the new Abbey Sands leisure development and enjoy al fresco dining or a drink overlooking Torbay. It is certainly worth exploring the newly refurbished Illuminated Royal Terrace Gardens with wonderful views from the top. Delighted to be returning to one of our most consistently highly rated hotels – the 3* Headland Hotel.
After being collected from your local pick up point (approx 8.30/9.30am) we have refreshment stops as required before arriving at the hotel mid-afternoon. Time to settle in and perhaps take a stroll before dinner. Evening entertainment every night of your stay.
Superb day out today as we are joined by our excellent local guide who will be showing us the best parts of Dartmoor National Park. A beautiful landscape dotted with towns and villages – all with a tale to tell.
Lovely local excursion today at we head to nearby Babbacombe. We drop on the clifftop which offers panoramic ocean views. Find a bench to enjoy the view, grab a coffee in one of the café bars or why not head down to Oddicombe Beach on the Cliff Railway. Return to the hotel for time at leisure.
We head home in the morning and have a stop for lunch on route before arriving back in the local area around 3.00/4.00pm.
